سوء مصرف و جرائم مواد مخدر، يكي از بزرگترين معضل هاي تمامي كشورهاي جهان از جمله ايران است. بر اساس آمارهاي موجود، بيش از نيمي از زندانيان كشور در ارتباط با مواد مخدر محبوس هستند، به طوري كه افزايش روزافزون تعداد معتادان و وجود ناهنجاري هاي مختلف حاصل از اعتياد در جامعه، نشانگر كارايي كم اقدامات انجام يافته در خصوص پيشگيري در كشور است. بر اين اساس با توجه به ضرورت تعيين مؤثرترين روش پيشگيري از اعتياد و جرائم مواد مخدر در جامعه، در اين تحقيق با بررسي انواع راهبردهاي كاربردي پيشگيري از اعتياد شامل پيشگيري دين محور، قانون محور و اجتماع محور (خانواده محور، پيشگيري با محور مراكز آموزشي، جامعه محور)، شاخص هاي مربوطه تعيين و بر اساس شاخص هاي تعيين شده، نسبت به تنظيم پرسشنامه اقدام شده است. 76 نفر از افراد و كارشناسان فعال در سازمانهايي كه عضو كميته پيشگيري شوراي هماهنگي مبارزه با مواد مخدر استان اردبيل هستند، نسبت به تكميل پرسشنامه و اعلام نظر در خصوص ميزان تأثير هريك از شاخص هاي انواع پيشگيري، در پيشگيري از اعتياد و جرائم مواد مخدر اقدام كرده اند. بر اساس اطلاعات به دست آمده از پرسشنامه ها، از انواع راهبردهاي كاربردي پيشگيري از اعتياد و جرائم مواد مخدر، پيشگيري خانواده محور به عنوان مؤثرترين روش پيشگيري شناخته شده است.
