ارزيابي دروني گروه انگل شناسي و قارچ شناسي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اروميه

Internal evaluation of parasitology and mycology department of Urmia university of medical sciences

سابقه و هدف: در راستاي ارزيابي دانشگاه‌ها و موسسات آموزش عالي، با استفاده از الگوي اعتبار بخشي ( Accreditation model )، گروه انگل‌شناسي و قارچ‌شناسي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اروميه مورد ارزيابي دروني قرار گرفت. مواد و روش‌ها: اين مطالعه در سال 1386 در گروه انگل شناسي و قارچ شناسي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اروميه انجام شد. اين گروه با داشتن 4 نفر هيات علمي، 3 بخش آموزشي و 4 آزمايشگاه و با قدمت 27 سال، در آموزش دانشجويان گروه پزشكي فعال است. نه حوزه گروه مورد ارزشيابي قرار گرفت. اين حوزه ها عبارت بودند از: مديريت گروه، اعضاء هيئت علمي، حوزه آموزشي، نيروي انساني، تجهيزات و فضاهاي آموزشي و پژوهشي و وضعيت دانشجويان. پرسش‌نامه‌ها و نشانگرها مناسب توسط اعضاي هيات علمي گروه تهيه گرديد. بر اساس امتيازات به‌دست آمده، وضعيت هر حوزه در سه سطح مطلوب (نمره حاصله 75% به بالا از كل)، نسبتاً مطلوب ( نمره بين 25% تا 75% كل ) و نامطلوب( نمره پايين تر از 25% كل ) تقسيم بندي شد. و وضعيت كل گروه نيز مشخص شد. يافته‌ها: نتايج نشان داد كه گروه در حوزه مدير گروه، اعضاء هيات علمي، حوزه آموزشي و وضعيت دانشجويان در سطح مطلوب و در حوزه نيروي انساني، تجهيزات و فضاهاي آموزشي- پژوهشي در وضعيت نسبتا مطلوب قرار گرفت. در مجموع ، گروه سطح نسبتا مطلوب (نمره 103 از 140) را كسب كرد. نتيجه‌گيري: يافته هاي اين تحقيق نشان داد كه گروه انگل شناسي و قارچ شناسي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اروميه در وضعيت نسبتاً مطلوب به سر مي‌برد. هر چند در بر آورد كلي ، گروه در وضعيت قابل قبولي است، ولي براي ارتقاي كيفيت آموزشي، به اصلاح نقاط ضعف خود در همه حوزه‌ها نياز دارد.

IntroductionIn accordance with evaluation of universities and high educational societies and by using accreditation model, parasitology and mycology department of Urmia University of Medical Sciences was evaluated. Materials and Methods: This study was done in parasitology and mycology department of Urmia university of medical sciences in 2007. This department with 4 scientific members, 3 educational districts, and 4 laboratories, and with 27 years archaism is involved actively in teaching of students of medical and health sciences. The assessment covered 9 areas, namely: department manager, scientific members, educational districts, human resources, education resources and research facilities, and the status of students. Questionnaires and check lists were developed by the scientific members of the department. After collecting the data, the results were categorized into three levels according to the gained points: non- desirable level (less than 25 % of the total score), semi-desirable level (between 25-75 % of the total score) and desirable level (more than 75% of the total score). Results: The obtrained mean scores revealed that the department of parasitology and mycology was located in the desirable level in the fields of department manager, scientific members, educational district, and the status of students. The department was located in the semi-desirable level in the fields of human resources, education resources and research facilities. Overall, the deparment was gained the semi- desirable score (103 from 140). Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the deparment of parasitology and mycology is located in the semi-desirable level. Although the overall status is acceptable, but there is a need to modify the weak points in the suboptimal areas to improve the educational quality in this department.
