Mothers' attitude to children's use of computer games

در عصر حاضر كودكان و نوجوانان به شدت تحت تأثير بازي‌هاي رايانه‌اي قرار گرفتهاند. بازي‌هاي رايانهاي به صورت اجتناب‌ناپذيري سهم عمدهاي از جامعه‌پذيري كودكان و نوجوانان را به خود اختصاص داده است كه نه‌تنها بخش قابل توجهي از اوقات فراغت ايشان را پر مي‌كند، بلكه اوقاتي را نيز كه آنها بايستيبه حضور در جمع خانواده و يا يادگيري زندگي اجتماعي صرف كنند، پوشش داده است. از آنجاست كه اين مقاله در صدد مطالعه نگرش والدين و به‌ويژه مادران به بازي‌هاي رايانه‌اي و استفاده كودكانشان از اين بازي‌هاست و همچنين به بررسي پيامدهاي استفاده كودكان از بازي‌هاي رايانه‌اي از ديدگاه والدين مي‌پردازد، چراكه مادران مي‌توانند نقش كليدي در پيشگيري از وابستگي كودكان به بازي‌هاي رايانه‌‌اي و كاهش عوارض نامطلوب حاصل از آن ايفا كنند. در اين راستا با 20 تن از مادران كودكان خردسال پيش‌دبستاني (دختر و پسر) مصاحبه عمقي گرفته و مضامين اصلي آنها، استخراج شد. يافته‌ها حاكي از آن است كه والدين به دلايلي چون بالا رفتن تشخص اجتماعي، پر كردن ساعت فراغت كودكان، گرفتاري‌هاي شغلي و فكري و درنتيجه عدم داشتن وقت و حوصله براي بازي با كودكان و گفت‌وگو با آنان، تمايل روزافزون به استفاده كودكانشان از بازي‌هاي رايانه‌اي نشان مي‌دهند.

In the present age, children and adolescents are heavily influenced by computer games. Inevitably, computer games have made a major contribution to the socialization of children and adolescents, which not only fill a significant part of their leisure time, but also has covered the periods they must attend to family gathering or learning social life.
So this article seeks to study the attitude of parents and especially mothers to computer games and their children's use of these games, and also examines the consequences of the use of children of computer games from the perspective of parents, because mothers can play a key role in preventing children's dependence on these games and reducing their undesirable effects. In this regard, 20 mothers of pre-school children (girls and boys) were profoundly interviewed and their main themes were extracted. The findings indicate that parents are increasingly inclined to their children use of computer games for reasons such as rising social identity, completing the leisure time of children, occupational and intellectual involvements, and consequently, lack of time and patience for playing with children and talking with them.
