An Analysis of the Intermediate World in Ibn Sina’s Ontology

بر اساس آيات و روايات، عالم برزخ ميان زندگي دنيايي و حيات اخروي قرار گرفته است و بر اساس متن‌هاي فلسفي، عالمي ميان عالم مجردات و عالم ماديِ محض است و حدّ وسط بودن آن ايجاب مي‌كند كه نه به كلي واجد ماده و مقدار و بيگانه از عالم مجردات باشد و نه به كلي فاقد ماده و مقدار و بيگانه از عالم مادي، بلكه با داشتن مقدار و صورت بدون ماده، بهره‌اي از عالم مجردات و بهره‌اي هم از عالم مادي دارد. ابن‌سينا با استناد به قائم بودن صورت جسميه به ماده و محال دانستن تحقق صورت و شكل و مقدارْ بدون ماده، عالم برزخ و معاد جسماني را قابل اثبات نمي‌داند، از اين رو، در مراتب هستي مورد نظر او، جايگاهي براي عالم برزخ وجود ندارد و جايگاه نفوس بعد از مرگ را نيز با تأكيد بر عالم افلاك و عقول تبيين مي‌كند. در اين مقاله، آراي ابن‌سينا در مورد عالم برزخ، زندگي و عوالم بعد از حيات مادي، تبيين و بررسي خواهد شد.

According to verses and narrations, the intermediate world is between the life of this world and the life of the other world and on the basis of the philosophical texts, it is a world between the incorporeal world and the pure material one, and its mediocrity requires that it is not completely equal to the material and the quantity and be alien to the incorporeal world, and not totally lack of matter and quantity and be alien to the material world, but having the quantity and immaterial form, it is something of the incorporeal world and something of material world. Referring to the consistency of the physical form with the matter and the impossibility of realizing the form and the quantity without matter, Ibn Sina says that intermediate world and physical resurrection cannot be proved. Hence, there is no place for the intermediate world in levels of existence in his view. He explains the position of the souls after death with an emphasis on the world of spheres and intelligibleness.
