Analyzing the Content of ISIS News in the Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper

تحليل محتوا تكنيكي است كه بر اساس قواعد، احكام و روش هاي مشخص به دنبال استخراج داده ها از متن است، از طرفي با توجه به كاركرد خبري مطبوعات در جهان معاصر و وابستگي هاي ايدئولوژيكي، سياسي و حزبي روزنامه ها و همچنين جهت گيري ها و نگرش هاي متفاوت اين رسانه ها به تحولات منطقه اي و جهاني ، بررسي و تحليل محتواي مطبوعات از اهميت فزاينده اي برخوردار مي گردد، اين پژوهش مي كوشد با استفاده از روش تحليل محتوا، محتواي روزنامه الشرق الاوسط را در رابطه با گروه داعش مورد بررسي قرار دهد، به همين منظور تيترها ، موضوعات خبر، نوع اخبار و همچنين منابع اخبار از ابتداي ماه اكتبر سال 2016م به مدت 50 روز متوالي مورد بررسي و تحليل قرار مي گيرد، هدف از اين پژوهش، شناخت جهت گيري اين روزنامه در قبال گروه داعش مي باشد. نتايج بررسي ها نشان مي دهد عمليات موصل مهمترين موضوعي است كه روزنامه در بازه زماني مورد بررسي به آن پرداخته است، و علاوه بر داعش جهت گيري منفي روزنامه نسبت به نيروهاي بسيج مردمي عراق در اين خبرها در خور تأمل است.

Content analysis is a technique that, based on the rules, and methods, seeks to extract data from the text. On the other hand, considering the importance of press activities in the contemporary world and the ideological, political and party affiliations of newspapers and the different orientations and attitudes of the media to regional and global developments, the importance of analyzing the content of the press is of increasing importance. This research tries to examine the content of the newspaper Al-Sharq al-Awsat in relation to the ISIS group using the content analysis method. For this purpose, the headlines, news topics, news types, and news sources from the beginning of October 2016 for 50 consecutive days are analyzed . he purpose of this study is to recognize the orientation of the newspaper towards the ISIS group. The results of the surveys show that Mosul's operations are the most important issue that the newspaper has been addressing during the period under review. In addition to ISIS, the negative orientation of the newspaper towards the Iraqi popular mobilization forces is worth contemplating.
