For determination of the experimental equations efficiency and specify of statistical model which can be applied as a proper basis for forcasting of coagulant optimum dose, a number of 485 samples were collected from eight water treatment plants including Ahwaz, Mashad, Rasht, Banderabbas, Sanandaj, Garmsar, Hamedan, and Esfahan.
According to the results of this research and with respect to different kind of coagulants used in Iran, proposed Voznaya model, can not be applied for Iranian water treatment plants because in this model kind of coagulants and its application range are not specified.
Two statistical models had been obtained for ferric chloride (R2 = 0. 86 and R=0.92) and Alume (R-O. 96, R2=0.93) with regard to three parameters of related quantitative variable of coagulant doses, independent quantitative variable of turbidity and related qualitative variable of coagulant type. Statistical calculations showed, with regard to 0.05 and 0.1 for type one and type two error respectively, the volume of samples are determined 9 and 10.
