The Conscious Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) and Its Parameters in the Holy Quran

جاهليت، در قرآن مورد نكوهش قرار گرفته است، ولي در اينكه مقصود از جاهليت مورد نظر قرآن چيست، بين دانشمندان اختلاف است. عده اي آن را يك دوره تاريخي همراه با فقدان علم، و عده اي ديگر نيز اگر چه اين مفهوم را فراتر از يك قطعه زماني دانسته اند، آن را در حد يك «بنش» محدود انگاشته اند. توجه به شاخصه هاي قرآني جاهليت، اين مفهوم را روشن تر مي كند. به ويژه توجه به رابطه «علم» و «جاهليت » مشخص مي كند كه اين مفهوم بسيار فراتر از ناداني محض، آن هم در يك دوره مشخص تاريخي است و نيز پيچيده تر از يك جهان بيني غلط و زمان شمول است.

The term “jahiliyyah” (ignorance, pre-Islamic period to Qur‟ānic era) has been rebuked in the holy Quran. There is disagreement among the scholars about what jahiliyyah means in the holy Quran. Some of the scholars believe that it is a historical period with the lack of knowledge and some others think that although this concept is beyond the time interval (period of time) but they have restricted it to be as “a belief and notion”. Considering the Quranic parameters of “jahiliyyah” makes it be more obvious. Specifically, paying attention to the relationship between “knowledge and jahiliyyah” specifies that it is far more concept than the absolute ignorance especially in a definite historical period and is more complicated than a worldview during a period in history. with applying the documentary method with exegetic and narrating referring and using the philological and
