An Approach to The Relationship the Verse-Final Pause (Henceforth, Fāṣilah) with Assonance (Saj’) and Rhyme (Qāfiyah)

«فاصلۀ قرآني» را به قافيه و سجع تشبيه كرده‌اند. آيا فاصله همچون قافيه و سجع است؟ اين مقاله در صدد بررسي ارتباط اين سه اصطلاح و شباهت‌ها و تفاوت‌هاي آن‌هاست. فاصله و قافيه هر دو در پايان مقطع سخن آمده و به آن ضرب‌آهنگ مي‌دهند؛ با اين تفاوت كه آنچه براي قافيه عيب به حساب مي‌آيد، در فاصله عيب نيست. فاصله و سجع نيز در طول تاريخ، سه ارتباط تباين، اتحاد، و عام و خاص را تجربه كرده‌اند. عالمان كلام در ابتدا وجود هر گونه سجع را در قرآن منتفي دانسته و رابطۀ آن را با فاصله، تباين معرفي كرده‌اند. معدودي نيز به اتحاد عقيده دارند. اما بسياري از عالمان بلاغت، فواصل داراي حروف همسان را با سجع ممدوح كه در آن الفاظ به پيروي از معنا مي‌آيند، يكسان مي‌دانند. اينان بر اين باورند همان طور كه قرآن از زبان عربي استفاده كرده، از صنايع ادبي آن نيز بهره برده است؛ پس مي‌توان به وجود سجع در قرآن باور داشت.

The Quranic fāṣilah has been compared to in rhyme (qāfiyah) in poetry and assonance (saj’) in prose. Is “fāṣilah” identical to rhyme in poetry and assonance in prose? This paper is going to examine the relationship of these terms, similarities and dissimilarities. Both “fāṣilah” and “qāfiyah” are the end of a clause or a sentence and add rhyme to it. The difference is what is fault in “qāfiyah”, it is not fault in “fāṣilah”. “Fāṣilah” and assonance (saj’) have experienced three relations “opposition, oneness and general (ʿām) and specific (khāṣ)” during the history. The scholars of kalam (Islamic theology) have denied (negated) any assonance (saj’) in the Quran and informed that the relationship between it and “fāṣilah” is opposition, firstly. But a few of them believe in oneness. But a lot of the scholars of rhetoric think that “fawāṣil” (sing: fāṣilah, the verse-final pause henceforth) with the same letters are oneness with “saj mamduh” (approval saj’
