ماهيت نقد رتوريكي و اهميت آن در مطالعات ادبي

The Nature of Rhetorical Criticism and its Importance in Literary Studies

چكيده اديبان و بلاغيون غربي، نظام و ساختار بلاغت را از روي اصول خطابه و سخنوري نوشتند و از اين طريق پيوند خطابه را با ادبيات استوار و متمكن كردند. بدين ترتيب مباحثي كه به خطابه اختصاص داشت وارد بلاغت شد و بدين سان رتوريك در معناي خطابه رفته رفته به رتوريك در معناي بلاغت اطلاق شد. مباحث رتوريك (= بلاغت حاصل پيوند با خطابه) به تدريج در اواخر قرن نوزدهم و اوايل قرن بيستم به صورت يكي از مهم ترين شاخه هاي نقد ادبي تجديد حيات كرد و نقد رتوريكي پا به عرصه ظهور گذاشت. در اين رهيافت انتقادي براي تحل آثار ادبي و غير ادبي روش واحدي وجود نداشت و پيروان آن از يك مكتب تحليلي و تفسيري واحد تبعيت نمي كردند و عموما هيچ گونه طرح يا نظامي براي تحليل كلام اقناعي نداشتند. با وجود اين اكثر منتقدان رتوريكي معتقدند براي ارزيابي آثار ادبي و غير ادبي همواره بايد انواع شيوه هاي اقناع مخاطب را بررسي كرد. در اين مقاله رويكردهاي متفاوت منتقدان رتوريكي و اهميت اين رويكردها در مطالعات ادبي بررسي شده است.

Eloquence, literary studies, persuasion. As far as we know researches and studies about the nature of rhetoric gradually were considered by the theorists of eloquence and for this reason the meaning of rhetoric changed completely. Rhetoric in its new meaning was a kind of language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect and was more in relation with literature than the art of oratory. Rhetorical studies finally in the late nineteenth century and the early years of twentieth century became one of the most important branches of literary criticism and revitalized under the name of Rhetorical criticism. Followers of this critical approach in their analyses didn’t have any predefined theory so as a result they didnot form a special kind of literary school; despite this fact all rhetorical critics believe that in analyzing any kind of literary or non- literary works a critic should always consider different ways and tactics of persuasion
