تاريخ بشر نشان مي دهد كه تمدن اسلامي منشاء و منبع تحولات بسيار عظيمي در حوزه هاي مختلف علمي و ساير تحولات بشري بوده است و خدماتي كه به جامعه بشري نموده است مورد اذعان اكثر دانشمندان جهان مي باشد، با اين حال تمدن اسلامي در سده هاي مختلف با فراز و فرود هاي زيادي همراه بوده است ولي مفاهيم عميق و تاثير گذارش توانسته پويايي و زايايي آن را در برهه هاي مختلف زمان حفظ نمايد. زايش و تولد انقلاب اسلامي نيز بر همين مبنا بوده است كه با تاكيد بر روش ها و قواعد ناب اسلامي و به ­كارگيري آن، روحي دوباره در پيشروندگي و تكامل تمدن اسلامي ببخشد. تجربه نشان داد كه انقلاب اسلامي اين ظرفيت را دارا مي باشد كه هوشمندانه و با تكيه بر مباني و اصول علمي، عقب­ ماندگي گذشته راجبران نمايد پرسش اصلي آن است كه انقلاب اسلامي با توجه به تحولات تمدن اسلامي در ادوار گذشته با تاكيد بر چه مولفه هايي مي تواند پايه هاي تمدن اسلامي را براي هميشه مستحكم نمايد اين پژوهش به چيستي و چرايي تمدن، ضرورت تمدن سازي و اينكه انقلاب اسلامي با چه مباني مي تواند دوباره جايگاه تمدن اسلامي را در گستره جهان ارتقاء بخشد، مي پردازد. اين مقاله اصولي را معرفي مي كند كه عملياتي شدن آن در انقلاب اسلامي، روند تمدن سازانه انقلاب را سرعت بيشتري مي دهد. لذا در پاسخ به شاخص هاي تمدن ساز بودن انقلاب اسلامي مي توان مولفه هاي عقلاً نيت، علم­گرايي و معنويت را در رشد سريع­تر و همه جانبه انقلاب اسلامي براي رسيدن به تمدن اسلامي معرفي نمود.
