Review and critique of the Museum Studies (Principles and Foundations) book

امروزه موزه‌ها در جهان نقش توسعه‌اي داخلي و خارجي دارند. «موزه»‌ها ‌نهادي مؤثر در تعامل و همكاري بين‌المللي به‌شمار مي‌آيند و در توسعة آموزش، مهارت‌هاي خلاق، و خودباوري فرهنگي در كشورها نقش مؤثري دارند. تجربه‌‌هاي جهاني حاكي از اين است كه موزه‌ها به‌مثابة ‌نهادي پويا در جامعه در ارتقاي دانش عمومي در حوزة ميراث فرهنگي به‌طور مؤثري عمل مي‌كنند و در كارآفريني فرهنگي تأثيرگذار بوده‌اند. در آموزشْ دانش‌هاي مرتبط با حوزة ميراث فرهنگي، مطالعات موزه، و دانش موزه‌داري ازجمله آموزش‌هاي پايه و تخصصي به‌شمار مي‌آيند. باوجود اهميت موزه و پتانسيل‌هاي بي‌بديل موزه‌داري در كشور، چهارچوب مفهومي و عملياتي موزه در ايران با فقر دانش حرفه‌اي روبه‌روست. انتشار كتاب مطالعات موزه تاحدودي اين خلأ را پر كرده است و فرصتي براي علاقه‌مندان اين حوزة مطالعاتي به‌وجود آورده است. كتاب حاضر هرچند به‌لحاظ علمي و محتوايي با انتقاداتي روبه‌روست، باتوجه‌به اين‌كه جزو پيش‌گامان در حوزة مباني مطالعات موزه تلقي مي‌شود في‌نفسه حركت ارزش‌مند و روبه‌جلويي تلقي مي‌شود. در اين نوشتار، كتاب حاضر عمدتاً به‌شكل محتوايي و علمي موردبررسي و نقد واقع مي‌‌شود و پيش‌نهاد‌هايي در كل متن مقاله ارائه ‌شده است كه تدوين‌كنندگان درصورت صلاح‌ديد و وارددانستن آن‌ها مي‌توانند در چاپ بعدي اين موارد را مدنظر قرار دهند.

Today in the world, Museums have a development role in internal and external. The museum is considered as an effective Institution in international collaboration and cooperation, and plays an important role within a country in the development of education, creative skills and Cultural self-confidence. Global experiences show that museums have been effective instrumental in promoting cultural knowledge in community, based on cultural heritage and have been effective in cultural entrepreneurship. Museum studies and museum Curatorship knowledge are considered as basic and specialized education in the teaching of cultural heritage related knowledge’s. Despite the importance of the museum and the great potential of the museum in in Iran, this country is faced with poor professional conceptual and operational framework of the museum knowledge’s. Publication of Museum Studies” book is partly filled this gap and created an opportunity for those interested in this field of study. Although, the book has scientifically and content-based criticisms but with considering that it is regarded as one of the pioneers in the field of museum studies, it’s to be worthwhile and valuable. In this paper, the present book is mainly presented in terms of content and scientific critique and suggestions in the whole article text. If the authors of the book find it useful they can be consider those the next issue.
