Pathological Analysis of Statistical and Data Processing Methods in Agricultural Scientific Research

امروزه، آمار در همه‌ي عرصه‌هاي علمي براي دستيابي به نتايج ملموس و قابل اعتماد، به كار مي رود و به ندرت مي توان بدون كاربرد داده‌پردازي‌هاي آماري (به‌صورت كمّي و كيفي)، اقدام به تفسير و تحليل نتايج حاصل از پژوهش‌هاي علمي كرد. اما، چالش اصلي در اين زمينه، شيوه كاربرد بهينه آمار در پژوهش هاست. پژوهش‌هاي كشاورزي نيز از اين قاعده مستثني نيستند. برخي در كاربرد آمار افراط كرده و پژوهش آنان بيش‌تر بازي با روش هاي آماري و به نوعي داده‌بازي و در شرايطي داده‌سازي است كه منجر به شكل گيري نوعي انحراف و استفاده نادرست از آمار در تحقيق مي‌شود كه با عنوان «آمارزدگي» از آن ياد مي‌شود. عده‌اي هم به كاربرد آمار در تحقيقات باور ندارند. از اين رو هدف اين پژوهش، «آسيب‌شناسي كاربرد آمار و داده‌پردازي در پژوهش‌هاي علمي كشاورزي» بود. پژوهش از نظر ماهيت تحقيق، كاربردي، از نظر ديده‌ماني، كيفي و از نظر نوع تحقيق، توصيفي است كه با استفاده از فن دلفي كلاسيك در سه مرحله انجام گرفت. نمونه مورد مطالعه كه به صورت هدفمند انتخاب شدند، اعضاي هيأت علمي و دانشجويان دكتري كشاورزي در سطح ايران بودند (17=n). در اين راستا، مهم‌ترين نقاط قوت، ضعف، فرصت ها و تهديدهاي كاربرد آمار و داده پردازي در پژوهش هاي كشاورزي از ديدگاه پاسخگويان شناخته شدند و در پايان ميانگين امتيازهاي هر چهار بخش، با تحليل ماتريس SWOT محاسبه شد. يافته‌ها نشان دادند كه نقطه برآيند ناشي از تحليل ماتريس SWOT در ناحيه SO (راهبرد تهاجمي) قرار دارد. بر اين اساس، راهبردهاي پيشنهادي تدارك و ارائه شدند.

Today, statistics are used in all areas of science to achieve tangible and reliable results so that it is rarely possible to interpret and analyze the results of scientific research without using appropriate statistical data processing (in two aspects of quantitative and qualitative). But the main challenge in this regard is how to correctly apply statistical methods in research. Agricultural research is no exception in this regard. Interestingly, some are overwhelmed by the use of statistics and their research isn't more than a play with statistical methods, and some are somewhat involved with data play and making which leads to the formation of a kind of deviation and misuse of statistics in research which is referred to as “statistification”. Some people do not believe to use statistics in their research. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze “pathology of statistics application and data processing in agricultural scientific research”. This applied descriptive research in terms of research methodology paradigm is a qualitative inquiry, was conducted using a classic Delphi technique in three stages. The sample whose were chosen by purposive sampling method are faculty members and Ph.D. students with agriculture majors in Iran (n=17). The most important strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats were known as perceived by respondents and at the end all four rates averages were calculated with SWOT analysis matrix. The results showed that the resulting point of the SWOT matrix was located in the area of SO (aggressive strategies). Accordingly, proposed strategies were prepared and presented.
