روش‌ تفسيري وبر به اعتبار اينكه مسئله‌ي تفهم در آن مركزيت پيدا مي‌كند اغلب ذيل رويكرد ذهن‌گرا و فردگرا قرار گرفته كه مرز مشخصي با رويكرد عين گرا و كل گرا دارد. شارحان شناخته شده‌ي وبر روش‌شناسي او را غيرتجربي و درون‌نگر قلمداد كرده‌اند. در اين نوشتار سعي شده با اتكاء به متون اصلي وبر اين تصوير رايج از روش‌شناسي او مورد بازانديشي قرار گيرد تا روشن شود مسئله‌ي عينيت و چگونگي دستيابي به شناخت عيني اصلي مهم در روش تفسيري است. بر مبناي هستي‌شناسي و معرفت‌شناسي استنتاج شده از متون وبر، تفسير علي صحيح ضمن اينكه مستلزم كفايت ذهني است مستلزم كفايت علي و مطابقت با جريان امور واقع نيز هست و از سوي ديگر اگرچه فهم كنش فرد دال مركزي تفهم را تشكيل مي دهد اما رويكرد كل‌گرا نيز براي توضيح عملي و جهتگيري موقتي در پژوهش ضرورت دارد. از اين جهت برخلاف تفاسير رايج، رگه‌هايي از عينيت‌گرايي و كل‌گرايي در جامعه‌شناسي تفهمي وبر وجود دارد كه نمي‌توان با تقليل‌گرايي هستي‌شناختي و معرفت‌شناختي آن را ذيل فردگرايي راديكال درون نگر قرار داد.

In this paper, we tried to rethink this common image of him methodology by relying on Weber's main texts to clarify the problem of objectivity and how to achieve objective knowledge, which is an important principle in Weber's methodology. Based on ontology and epistemology derived from Weber's texts, the interpretation of casual correct, It also requires mental competence requires casual competence and consistent with the facts as well, And, on the other hand, though the understanding of the person action , The central signifier forms understanding. But holistic approach is also needed for practical explanation and temporary orientation in research. Therefore, contrary to popular interpretations, there are traces of objectivity and holism in Weber's understanding sociology that cannot with its ontological and epistemological reductionism put it under introspective radical individualism.
