A Critique to the Opponents’ Ethical Reasons Against Human Cloning

زمينه: شبيه‌سازي انسان يكي از موضوعات چالش برانگيز در حوزه اخلاق پزشكي است كه موافقان و مخالفاني دارد. اين مقاله به بررسي دلايل اخلاقي مخالفان شبيه‌سازي انسان و نقد آنها مي‌پردازد. روش كار: روش تحقيق در اين مقاله تحليلي است. ابتدا مهم‌ترين دلايل اخلاقي مخالفان شبيه‌سازي انسان بيان و سپس تحليل و نقادي شده است. برخي از اين دلايل عبارت‌انداز: نقض كرامت انساني و استقلال فردي، نقض اصل اختيار و كسب رضايت آگاهانه، وسيله قرار گرفتن انسان و تبديل شدن او به كالا، خطر اصلاح ن‍‍ژادي و غيرطبيعي بودن اين فناوري و دخالت در كار خداوند. نتيجه‌گيري: نظر مؤلف اين است كه دلايل عقلي مخالفان در ممنوعيت اخلاقي شبيه‌سازي مخدوش بوده و نادرستي ذاتي اين فناوري نوين را اثبات نمي‌كند. بنابراين با توجه فوايد زياد اين فناوري در صورت موفقيت و رفع عيوب آن، انجام تحقيقات علمي در اين زمينه جايز است و شبيه‌سازي انسان به‌طور محدود و كنترل شده به لحاظ اخلاقي، فاقد اشكال است.

Background: Human cloning is one of the most controversial issues in Medical ethics, having both advocates and opponents. This paper examines and critiques the opponents’ reasons against human cloning. Methods:The methods of this paper is analytic. First, the most important reasons given by the opponents of human cloning are presented and then they are analyzed and critiqued. Some of these reasons are as follows: the violation of human dignity and the principle of human autonomy, the violation of the principle of authority and the Principle of Informed Consent, as well as the risk of eugenics, its being unnatural, and its being interference in the work of God. Conclusion:The writer believes that the opponents’ Ethical arguments on the prohibition of human cloning are not convincing – as they do not prove the essential immorality of this new technology. Therefore, given the potential benefits of this technology, research may be permitted to be carried out on it. Controlled human cloning on a limited scale is acceptable from ethical point of view.
