ميزان رعايت اخلاق حرفه‌اي در كتابداران شاغل در كتابخانه مركزي و مركز اسناد دانشگاه تهران

Compliance with professional ethics in librarians of Central Library and Documentation Center of Tehran University

زمينه و هدف: اخلاق حرفه‌اي دربردارنده استانداردهايي است كه توسط اعضاي آن حرفه كه به مسؤوليت‌هاي اخلاقي خود پايبند هستند، به رسميت شناخته شده‌است. هدف اين مطالعه تعيين ميزان رعايت اخلاق حرفه‌اي در كتابداران شاغل در كتابخانه مركزي و مركز اسناد دانشگاه تهران مي‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: در اين مطالعه توصيفي ـ تحليلي، با استفاده از پرسشنامه استاندارد محقق‌ساخته، نقطه‌نظرات 59 نفر از كتابداران كتابخانه مركزي و مركز اسناد دانشگاه تهران كه به روش تمام‌شماري وارد مطالعه شدند، جمع‌آوري و با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS 13 تجزيه و تحليل شد. پس از توضيح درباره اهداف پژوهش، رضايت آگاهانه شفاهي شركت‌كنندگان اخذ و درباره بي‌نامي پرسشنامه‌ها و محرمانگي اطلاعات به آنان اطمينان داده شد. يافته‌ها: ميانگين نمره كل اخلاق حرفه‌اي در افراد مورد مطالعه 4/39 بود. از بين مؤلفه‌هاي اخلاق حرفه‌اي «احترام به عقايد مختلف در حرفه» با ميانگين 4/46 بيشترين و «فراهمآوري امكانات براي دسترسي آسان و يكسان به اطلاعات براي همه مراجعان» با ميانگين 3/64 كم‌ترين مقادير را داشتند. تمامي مؤلفه‌هاي اخلاق حرفه‌اي افراد مورد مطالعه تفاوت معناداري با ميانگين نظري داشتند. در اين بين مناسبترين وضعيت مربوط به مؤلفه رعايت بي‌طرفي در حرفه و كم‌ترين مقدار مربوط به مؤلفه حمايت از حقوق مالكيت معنوي بود. نتيجه‌گيري: يافته‌ها نشان داد كه كتابداران مورد مطالعه، از منظر برخورداري از اصول اخلاق حرفه‌اي در وضعيت مطلوب قرار دارند. توصيه مي‌شود مديران با برنامه‌ريزي مناسب، كتابداران و اطلاع‌رسانان را از آخرين دستاوردهاي علمي حرفه‌اي خود مطلع سازند و با در نظرگرفتن امكانات و امتيازات ويژه، آنان را در ارتقاي رعايت اصول اخلاق حرفه‌اي ياري نمايند.

Background and Aim: Professional ethics encompasses standards recognized by members of the profession who are committed to their moral responsibilities. The aim of this study was to determine the degree of observance of professional ethics in librarians of Central Library and Document Center of Tehran University. Materials and methods: This descriptive-analytic study was carried out using a valid researcher-made questionnaire. The viewpoints of 59 librarians who included to the study through census, were gathered using questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS 13. After explaining the goals of the research, the informed consent of the participants was obtained and they were assured about the confidentiality of the information. Findings: The average total score of professional ethics in the subjects was 4.39. Among the components of professional ethics, "respect for different opinions in the profession", with mean of 4.46 and "providing facilities for easy and uniform access to information for all clients" with mean of 3.64 had highest and lowest values, respectively. All of the components of professional ethics had a significant difference with theoretical mean. In the meantime, the most appropriate condition was the observance of impartiality in the profession and the least amount related to the component of the protection of intellectual property rights. Conclusion: The findings showed that librarians are in desirable position in terms of professional ethics. It is recommended that managers with appropriate planning, inform their librarians and informers about latest scientific achievements and help them promote ethical principles by considering special facilities and privileges.
