نرم افزار AMPE به منظور ارزيابي/ تاييد روشهاي آناليز و شناسايي محصولات تراريخته تحت شرايط استاندارد طراحي شده است. اين نرم افزار امكان تعيين حد تشخيص (LOD)، تشخيص كميت (LOQ) و نيز دقت و صحت روش­ها ي ارزيابي را فراهم مي­كند. از قابليت­هاي ديگر اين نرم افزار ميتوان به تست­هايي براي تعيين توزيع نرمال داده­ها، بررسي همگني واريانس­ها و همچنين امكان انتخاب آزمون­هاي جايگزين متناسب با نياز كاربر اشاره كرد. اهميت اعتبار روش­هاي تحليلي به­طور پيوسته در حال افزايش بوده، زيرا تاييد روش­ها توسط قوانين بين­المللي (به­عنوان مثال قانون اتحاديه اروپا) به­عنوان يك پيش شرط براي پذيرش يك محصول در بازار از جمله تشخيص محصولات تراريخته مي­باشد. درنتيجه، براي همگام سازي و استاندارد كردن نتايج حاصل از ارزيابي در ميان كشورهاي مختلف ومقامات ذيصلاح مي­بايست از نرم افزارهاي كاربردي مانند AMPE استفاده نمود. در اغلب موارد، اعتبار سنجي نياز به مطالعه بين آزمايشگاهي دارد. اين نرم افزار بر اساس پروتكل­هاي بين­المللي ISO Codex CCMAS و ISO 5725 (1994)­، تدوين شده است. امكان مقايسه روش­هاي مختلف و ارزيابي مناسب با توجه به نياز­هاي كاربران را فراهم مي­كند كه در نهايت قادر به خلاصه كردن تمام اطلاعات در طول تشخيص و شناسايي محصولات تراريخته مي­باشد.

The software implements standard statistical approaches commonly adopted in validation studies to estimate analytical method performance (limits of detection and quantitation, precision and accuracy). This software can also be used for tests to determine the normal distribution of data, to check the homogeneity of variances as well as a choices of method selection according to specific user needs. The importance of validation of analytical methods have been risen. Validated methods for the detection of genetically modified organisms (GMO) are requested by European unio‎n (EU) legislation in order to accept GMO crops on the European market. The AMPE software could be used to synchronize and standardize the results of the assessment of GMO in different countries and the competent authorities. In most cases, validation requires the assessment of the performance of the proposed method by means of an inter laboratory studies. This application has been developed based on international protocols ISO, Codex CCMAS and the ISO 5725 (1994). This software has to compare different methods and evaluate their adequacy with respect to specific needs, based on summarized information collected during the validation and recognition GMO crops.
