هر علمي اصطلاحات و زبان فني مخصوص خود را دارد كه ابزار درك متون آن علم به‌شمار مي‌رود. در اين ميان فرهنگ‌نامه‌ها ابزاري كاربردي براي محققان و طالبان علم هستند تا هم به فهم صحيح و سريع اين اصطلاحات و مطالب براي هماهنگي با جامعه علمي كمك نمايند و هم ياري‌رسان آنها در جستجو و پژوهش بعدي باشند. موضوع اين مقاله نقد و بررسي كتاب فرهنگ اصطلاحات علم كلام؛ كلام اسلامي، كلام جديد، اديان و مذاهب اثر مسلم محمدي دانش‌آموختة رشته كلام و فلسفه است. بنابراين ضمن معرفي كلي كتاب، به برخي از ويژگي‌هاي ساختاري و محتوايي و جنبه‌هاي مثبت و منفي آن اشاره مي‌شود. در نگاهي نقادانه، مقالات كتاب از جهت اتقان متن، صحت و قوت مستندات و ميزان بهره‌گيري از منابع و مآخذ معتبر وارسي شدند، حاصل آن‌كه در كتاب از نظر شكل، محتوا و هم‌چنين رعايت اصول روش تحقيق برخي اشكالات يافت شد؛ در نتيجه نتوانسته است رسالت خود را در تبيين و توصيف برخي از اصطلاحات علم كلام به‌خوبي به‌انجام برساند و كليت آن نمي‌تواند منبعي مورد اعتماد براي گزينش دانش‌پژوهان باشد. در پايان، پيشنهادهايي براي رفع كاستي‌هاو اعتلاي اثر مذكور ارائه شده است.

Each science has its own terminology and technical language, which is a tool for understanding the texts of that science.Dictionaries are an application tool for researchers. The dictionaries help the correct and quick understanding of these terms in order to co-ordinate with the scientific community and also help them in their further search.The subject of this article is the critique of the book of “the dictionary of the terminology of theology, the Islamic theology, the new theology, the religions”by Moslem Mohammadi, a graduate of the trend of theology and philosophy.So, while introducing the book in general, it refers to some of the structural and content characteristicand its positive and negative aspects.In a critical review, the book's articles were checked for the authenticity of the text, the accuracy of the documentation, and the amount of utilization of valid sources.We conclude that the book has some drawbacks in terms of its form, content, and the observance of the principles of the research method. So this book has not fulfilled its mission in explaining and describing some of the terminology of theology.Therefore, its totality can not be a reliable source for the selection of scholars.In the end, suggestions are made to overcome the shortcomings and enhance the work.
