توسعه فهمِ توسعه: خوانش انتقادي كتاب تصورِ عصر پساتوسعه

”Development of the Understanding of Development: Critical Book Review of “Imagining the Post-Development Era

اگرچه از ارائۀ اولين نظريه هاي تخصصي توسعه تا‌به‌حال كم‌تر از يك قرن مي گذرد، سير تحول آنها پرشتاب و مجادله برانگيز و روشن‌گر بوده است. درحالي‌كه هر نظريه تلاش كرده ‌است كه بُعدي از علل و ماهيت توسعه يافتگي و توسعه نيافتگي را توضيح دهد، ازسوي نظريه هاي جديدتر به‌ نقد كشيده شده است تا بدين ترتيب علم توسعه به‌طور مداوم در‌حال توسعه باشد. در اين ميان، دو ديدگاه وابستگي و پساتوسعه گرايي ساير ديدگاهها و نظريه ها را به‌شكل بدبينانه اي يك‌پارچه و استعماري در نظر گرفته و آن ها را نظريه هاي توسعۀ غرب يا غربي ناميده‌اند و آن‌ها را نفي مي كنند. كتاب تصورِ عصر پساتوسعه هر‌چند شامل مقالاتي با ديدگاههاي مختلف است، روح كلي خود را از اين دو ديدگاه وام گرفته است. مقالۀ حاضر، با نقد هم‌زمان اين كتاب و اين دو ديدگاه، سعي در «توسعۀ فهمِ توسعه» دارد. علاوه‌ بر آن، پيشنهادهايي براي تدوين كتابهاي مشابه در آينده ارائه مي دهد.

Although the birth of the first specialized development theories has so far lasted less than a century, the evolution of these theories has been controversial. While each theory attempts to explain the reasons behindthe development and underdevelopment, it has been criticized by more recent theories, and hence the development economics is continuously developing. Meanwhile, perspectives of Dependency and Post-development regard other perspectives as a set of pessimistic, homological, and colonial theories, and called them “Theories of Western Development” and rejected them. The book of “Imagining the Post-Development Era” contains articles with different perspectives, but the book's theme and the ideas are based on Dependency and Post-development perspectives. The present paper seeks to develop the understanding of development. In addition, it offers suggestions for writing and editing similar books in the future.
