مداخلات خارجي در اصفهان و پيامدهاي اجتماعي آن در جنگ جهاني اول

Foreign Inferences in and Their Social Consequences in Isfahan during World War I

حضور و رقابت دولتهاي خارجي در ايران كه از پيش از جنگ جهاني اول شروع شده بود، با آغاز جنگ و سپس اشغال ايران شدت يافت. در اين ميان، اصفهان كه در مركز جغرافيايي ايران و بر سر راههاي تجاري قرار داشت، هم ميدان رقابت سه قدرت روس، انگليس و آلمان گرديد و هم به اشغال نظامي روسها درآمد. حضور و رقابت نيروهاي خارجي، كه از حمايت طرفداران داخلي خويش برخوردار بودند، باعث تأثيراني زيانبار در عرصه اجتماع و زندگي مردم شهر اصفهان شد. سؤال اصلي مقاله اين است كه پيامدهاي اجتماعي مداخلات خارجي ها در اصفهان در دوران جنگ جهاني اول چه بود؟ به همين منظور سعي بر آن است تا با كاربست روش تحقيق تاريخي كه مبتني بر توصيف و تحليل دادههاست پاسخي به اين سؤال داده شود. يافته هاي اين پژوهش نشان مي دهند دخالتهاي نيروهاي خارجي در اصفهان و رقابت هاي آنها با يكديگر عمدتا تشديد كننده شرايط نامناسب پيشين زندگي اجتماعي مردم شهر اعم از هرج و مرج، ناامني و كمبود نان بود. لذا در اين تحقيق برآنيم تا با تكيه بر اسناد، خاطرات، سفرنامه ها و روزنامه ها به بررسي و تحليل دخالتهاي نيروهاي خارجي در اصفهان و پيامدهاي اجتماعي اين مداخلات در زندگي مردم شهر در دوران جنگ جهاني اول بپردازيم

In Iran, the presence of forces supported by handful foreign countries had begun before World War I. With the onset of the war, this presence intensified and led to Iran’s occupation. Meanwhile, Isfahan, being located in the geographical center of the country and therefore regarded as the country’s economic and trade cross section had became the battleground of the three world powers of the time; Russia, Britain and Germany. In the same period, the city saw the Russian military occupation as well. These foreign forces alongside with their domestic hirelings had a damaging effect on the contemporary Iranian society and its citizens. The main research question of the present article is: What were the social consequences of foreign interferences in Isfahan and its society during World War I? The findings of the article show that the interferences of the foreign forces in Isfahan mainly exacerbated the city’s earlier social problems and led the citizens’ lives towards chaos, insecurity and famine. Through utilization of a descriptive-analytical methodology, the article reviews key historical documents, memoirs, travelogues and newspapers so that the significances of the foreign interferences in the city and their social consequences city can be investigated during World War I.
