مكان‌يابي شهر آذِيوجان بر پايه مطالعه متون تاريخي و شواهد باستان‌شناسي

Locating of city of Azyvjān Based on the Study of Historical texts and Archaeological Evidence

نام «آذِيوجان»، از شهرهاي كم‌شناختۀ سده‌هاي نخست دوران اسلامي در غرب ايران، در گزارش‌هاي جغرافي‌نويسان اسلامي و سكه­ هاي اين شهر از سدۀ 4ق آمده است. حدود جغرافيايي اين شهر ناحيه ­اي در ايالت «ماسبذان» در غرب ايران بوده و علي­رغم مطالعات و تحقيقات باستان ­شناسي در محدودۀ ايالت ماسبذان، شهر آذيوجان و موقعيت مكاني­ آن ناشناخته باقي­مانده است. هدف اين نوشتار، بررسي و شناخت محدودۀ جغرافيايي شهر آذيوجان بر اساس آگاهي­ هاي موجود در منابع نوشتاري دست اول و انطباق آن با شواهد باستان­ شناسي، به منظور دستيابي به موقعيت مكاني اين شهر در جغرافياي امروزي منطقه است. رويكرد پژوهش، «جغرافياي تاريخي» است و يافته‌ها با مطالعات ميداني و اسنادي سنجيده شده است. بنا بر نتايج، شهر آذِيوجان در شهرستان امروزي «ايوان» در شمال استان ايلام در امتداد رود «كنگير» قرار داشته است. از مقايسۀ آگاهي‌هاي باستان‌شناسي با آگاهي‌هاي متون تاريخي، محوطۀ «جوي زر» در ساحل رودخانه كنگير براي موقعيت مكاني آن پيشنهاد مي­ شود.

Azyvjān« is one of the less known cities of early Islamic era in western Iran. We are familiar with it through the reports of the early and middle Islamic centurie's geographers and also coins of this city belong to the fourth century AH. This city has been geographically in the »Masbazan« province in the west of Iran. Despite the studies and archaeological research carried out in this area, so far the city of Azyvjān and its location has been remained unknown in the present-day geography of the region. The purpose of this paper is investigating the geographical scope of the city of Azyvjān based on the knowledge of the historical resources and adaptation this data to archaeological evidence in order to achieve an understanding of the location of this city in the present-day geography of the region. The research approach is "historical" and the findings are gathered with documentary and field studies. The results show that the area which we should look for the city of Azyvjān is in the modern city of »Evān« in the north province of Elam and along the »Kangir « river. By comparing archaeological data with descriptions of historical texts about the city of Azyvjān and its location, the "Joey Zar" on the shores of Kangir River proposed for its location.
