مفهوم و زمينه هاي مختلف نموديابي ظرافت در معماري؛ مطالعه موردي: گنبد سلطانيه و مسجد شيخ لطف الله

The Concept and Aspects of Manifestation of Elegance in Architecture; Case Study: Soltaniyeh Dome and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque

بيان مساله ظرافت ازجمله مفاهيم پردامنه و جهان شمول است كه در هنر و معماري اهميت فراواني دارد؛ بااين حال به لحاظ نظري، ماهيت و جنبه هاي وجودي آن چندان مورد واكاوي قرارنگرفته است. هدف پژوهش حاضر با هدف بازشناسي جايگاه ظرافت و مطالعه نحوه كاربست آن در طراحي آثار معماري، به عنوان يك دستمايه هنري صورت پذيرفته است. در اين راستا با بهره گيري از روش توصيفي - تحليلي تلاش مي كند ضمن بازشناسي مفهوم، به رديابي و احصاي انواع ظرافت به كاررفته در معماري ايراني - اسلامي اقدام كند. روش تحقيق در گام نخست نظرات انديشمندان درباره چيستي ظرافت از دو منظر فلسفه هنر و طراحي مهندسي بررسي شده است. آنگاه به تدوين مدلي از ظرافت ادراكي با استفاده از مفهوم ماده (توده/ جرم) و مطالعه ويژگي هاي كالبدي و ادراكي پرداخته و در گام بعد با كاوش در امكان هاي مختلف اطلاق صفت ظرافت به معماري در متون مختلف و تطبيق با مدل تهيه شده، انواع آن شناسايي و در دو نمونه گنبد سلطانيه و مسجد شيخ لطف الله مورد تحليل قرار گرفته است. نتيجه گيري زمينه هاي مختلف نموديابي ظرافت دست كم در سه سطح، قابل طبقه بندي است: در سطح كلان شامل ظرافت در شاكله هندسي بنا به معني فرايند و نظام شكل گيري، آرايش فضايي، چيدمان و نحوه استقرار عناصر است؛ در سطح نيمه كلان شامل ظرافت سازه؛ و ظرافت شكل عناصر و ارگان ها؛ و در سطح خرد، شامل ظرافت مصالح پوسته ازنظر رنگ، جنس و بافت؛ و ظرافت جزئيات ازنظر اتصالات و مرزها مي شود. لذا با توجه به گستردگي و تنوع كاربرد، مي توان گفت جايگاه كيفيت ظرافت در معماري فراتر از بيان وابسته به يك سبك خاص است. شيوه كار معماران ايراني براي دستيابي به ظرافت كالبدي در انواع معرفي شده، مي تواند الگوي مناسبي براي فرايندهاي طراحي و ساخت در معماري امروز ايران باشد.

Problem statement Elegance is a broad and universal concept with great importance in art and architecture. However, there is a lack of theoretical understanding about the nature and manifestations of elegance in architecture.Research Objective The aim of this study is to recognize the place and use of elegance in the design of architectural works as an artistic theme. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the authors tried to identify the concept and types of elegance and trace its uses in Iranian-Islamic architecture.Research method In the first step, scholars’ views on the elegance concept from two perspectives of philosophy of art and engineering design were investigated. Then a model of perceptual elegance was developed using the concept of matter (mass) and the physical and perceptual characteristics were studied. In the next step, by exploring different texts for the various possibilities of applying elegance to architecture and matching with the prepared model, its types were identified, and they were examined in the two cases of Soltaniyeh Dome and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. Conclusion The aspects of manifestation of elegance can be classified into at least three levels: at the macro level, the work may have elegance of geometry in the sense of formation process and system, spatial arrangement, placement, and orientation of elements; at the semi-macro level, we have elegance of structure and elegance of form of elements and organs; and at micro level, we may observe elegance of shell materials in terms of color, type and texture, and elegance of details in terms of connections and borders. Given the breadth and variety of its applications, the place of elegance in architecture goes beyond the expression of a particular style. The methods used by Iranian architects of the past to achieve physical elegance in its different varieties can offer inspirations for today’s Iranian architecture.
