يكي از مضامين مهم ادبيات داستاني معاصر، انعكاس فرهنگ مردم است و از آن جا كه انسان و زندگي و انديشه او جزء لاينفك داستان است، بنابراين پيوستگي فرهنگ مردم با انسان هم به اين قالب ادبي راه يافته است . بخشي از اين فرهنگ مثل آداب و رسوم اجتماعي، مذهبي، پزشكي و خرافي است و بخشي ديگر شامل زبان محاوره و گويش هاي محلي، اشعار و ترانه ها، ضرب المثل ها و بازي ها است . شهلا پروين روح و منصوره شريف زاده نويسندگاني هستند كه به فرهنگ مردم توجه خاصي داشته اند، آثار آن ها از سويي عرصه به تصوير كشيدن رابطه انسان ها با اين فرهنگ است كه نشان مي دهد استفاده به جا يا نا به جا از اين فرهنگ در پرورش و زندگي انسان ها در جامعه داستاني تا حدودي ريشه در جامعه واقعي دارد و از سوي ديگر آشكار مي شود كه گاهي اين مضامين، نقابي است بر انديشه و نيت پنهاني و دروني نويسنده كه به او كمك مي كند كه شيوه هنرمندانه تر و گاهي پيچيده تري در خلق اثر داشته باشد . البته با توجه به جنسيت و بينش نويسنده و زمان و مكان وقوع حادثه نحوه انعكاس اين مضامين گاهي متفاوت و يا همانند مي شود و از اين منظر هم قابل بررسي است . ملاك انتخاب نويسندگان جنسيت مشترك، دوره مشترك و برگزيده شدن آثار انتخابي آن ها در جشنواره هاي متعدد ادبي است.

The inappropriate or inappropriate use of this culture in developing and living human beings in fictional societies is partly rooted in real society, and on the other hand it is sometimes apparent that these themes are a cover for the author's innermost thoughts and intentions that help him It makes for a more artistic and sometimes more sophisticated way of creating work. Of course, due to the author’s gender and insight, and the setting of the event, the manner of reflecting these themes differs and resembles ocassionally, and it can be analyzed via this perspective. The criteria of selecting the authors are common sex, period of time, and their works of art chosen in different literary festivals.
