هدف مقاله حاضر آن است تا نشان دهد، در بررسي تطبيقي، اهداف، اصول و روش‌هاي برگزاري جشن و شادي از نظر اديان شرقي و اسلام چگونه است. روش تحقيق مورد استفاده كيفي بوده و براي پاسخگويي به پرسش تحقيق، متون، مقالات و يا كتبي كه به نحوي با انديشه‌هاي اين اديان مربوط بود، مطالعه شد؛ اين مقاله در واقع در برگيرنده نگاه دين به ويژه دين مبين اسلام به مقوله جشن و عيد و در نتيجه آن شادي و نشاط افراد يك جامعه است، دين اسلام نه تنها نشاط را نفي نكرده است بلكه با تأكيد بر استفاده از نشاط سالم و در چارچوب مشخص آن را باعث پيشرفت در زمينه‌هاي معنوي و مادي مي‌داند. در نهايت از نظر اسلام، شادي يكي از نيازهاي اساسي انسان و لازمه زندگي است، اساساً خلقت هستي و از جمله انسان به گونه‌اي است كه خود به خود شادي‌هايي براي آدمي فراهم مي آورد، اديان شرقي از جمله هندوئيسم و بودائيسم نيز ادياني هستند كه داراي اعياد و جشن‌هاي گوناگون و متنوعي هستند، كه علاوه بر تفاوت‌هايي كه در زمان و نحوه و اصول برپايي اعياد و جشن‌ها با دين اسلام دارند.

The purpose of the present article is to show the status of goals, principles and methods of celebrating ceremonies and feasts from and Eastern religions and Islam’s viewpoint in comparative studies. The research method is qualitative and is done in order to answer the research question, texts, articles or scripture which are related to these religions’ ideas. This article includes religion’s viewpoint – specifically Islam’s view – on feasts and ceremonies and as a result on society and individuals’ happiness in fact. Islam has not only negated happiness but also emphasized the healthy happiness within a specific framework which causes worldly and unworldly development. Eventually happiness is one of the fundamental needs for human and the necessity for life; essentially creation of al being including human is in such a way that it automatically provides happiness for man; Eastern religions including Hinduism and Buddhism are the ones with various celebrations and feasts that are different from Islam’s in times and rules.
