يكي از مسائل بنيادي در علوم قرآن‌كه به‌ويژه در مباحث اخير اين حوزه بسيار تأثيرگذار و موردبحث واقع شده مسئله وجود پيشين قرآن قبل از نزول تدريجي در ظرف خاص خود است؛ حال چه به‌عنوان يكي از واقعيات عالم در لوح محفوظ موجود بوده و ازآنجا به‌صورت تدريجي بر پيامبر نازل شده و يا اين‌كه از همان اوايل اوان بعثت به‌صورت دفعي در شب قدر از لوح محفوظ تا بيت‌المعمور يا ازآنجا بر پيامبر نازل شده باشد؛ در اين ميان اما كساني كه قرآن را زائيده ديالوگ با واقعيت‌هاي عيني زمان نزول مي‌دانند گاه بالصراحه منكر وجود پيشين قرآن شده و چنانچه صراحتي هم نباشد لازمه قطعي ديدگاه آنان انكار وجود پيشين و هم نزول دفعي قرآن است. اين نظر مي‌تواند منشأ مباحث و حتي اشكالات فراواني نسبت به جاودانگي و جهان‌شمولي قرآن باشد و چه‌بسا مؤيد يا حتي بنا بر برخي قرائت‌ها منتج نظريه تاريخ‌مندي قرآن گردد؛ مقاله حاضر پس از پيگيري روش اثبات وجود پيشين قرآن در پي اثبات وجود پيشين قرآن بر حوادث زمان نزول و تبيين نحوه آن وجود است؛ همچنين اشكالات وارد‌شده بر اين ديدگاه مطرح و به نحو مستدل پاسخ داده خواهد شد.
