Technical and Economical Comparison Between Two Voltage Level, 230 and 400 (KV) In Transmission Line Design

An optimumplan is evaluated and selected based on satisfaction of technical constrains and mimizing cost. For these intent four indices as, nominal voltage, type of conductor, number of circuits and number of boundless are considered. In this paper a procedure for technical and economical comparison between several proposed plan is introduced. This procedure is done for a typical transmission line plan. This line is between GILAN to CHABOKSAR and CHABOKSAR to HASSANKIF. For each of the proposed plan, the final cost which can be divided into investment cost and operation cost is found for I km of length. By using the curves which show this cost versus length, evaluation and selection of the optimum plan will be possible for a specified lenght and by this, optimum length is introduced for each proposed plan.
