هدف مقاله حاضر، نقد و بررسي كتاب «نگاهي دوباره به تربيت اسلامي، جلد اول» اثر آقاي دكتر خسرو باقري است. روش مورد استفاده در نقد كتاب، نقد دروني بود و در اين زمينه، كتاب در سه حوزه روش ­شناختي، ساختاري و محتوايي مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. در نقد روش شناختي، سه محور: عدم توجه قابل‌قبول به اركان ديني در فهم رويكرد دين به «تربيت»؛ تأكيد بر مباني انسان­ شناختي و غفلت از ساير مباني موردتوجه در جريان «تربيت اسلامي» و تفكيك «تعليم» و «تربيت» و پذيرش اصالت براي هريك از آنها، مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. در نقد ساختاري، سه محور: بررسي ربط منطقي فصول، اصرار به مرحله ­بندي سني در تربيت و تحليل و تركيب نامناسب ويژگي­ هاي انسان بررسي شد و در بخش محتوايي دو محور، تحديد تعريف «تربيت» و انحراف از معناي توافقي تربيت و خَلط ميان «تربيت» و «اخلاق» مورد تحليل و نقد قرار گرفت. يافته­ هاي مطالعه انتقادي كتاب نشان داد، به‌رغم اينكه ظاهراً الگوي جديد و بديعي در پرداختن به تربيت، مطرح شده است، اما محدوديت­ هاي موجود در حوزه روش ­شناختي و الگوي مورداستفاده مؤلف در كشف تعريف تربيت و صورت ­بندي آن، نشان‌دهنده آن است كه نه­ تنها نوآوريِ كارآمدي صورت نگرفته است، بلكه با نگاه محدود به عناصر مؤثر در تربيت و خَلط ميان دو حوزه «تربيت» و «اخلاق»؛ كاركردهاي دقيق «تربيت» نيز با چالش مواجه شده ­است، به­ طوري­كه مزيت­ هاي رقابتي آن براي گفتگو با رويكردهاي رقيب در دنياي معاصر را به­ شدت با چالش مواجه نموده است.
