تمثيل، همچون ابزاري تاثير گذار، همواره در متون ادبي و بويژه عرفاني سبب آفرينش آثاري ارشمند و بديع است، گاه يك حقيقت تاريخي و كم نمود، مانند دلبستگي سلطان محمود به روي و موي غلام خود، اياز موجب آفرينش زيباترين جلوه هنري و فكري مي شود. آنچه كه بيش از همه بر غناي اين داستان ها مي افزايد، خلاقيت و هنر آفريني شاعران عارف مسلك، نظير عطار و مولوي است كه در تشريح انديشه هاي بلند عرفاني خود، با بيان افسانه هاي تمثيلي و جذاب به اين عشق صوري، جنبه آسماني و الهي دادند و محمود را تمثيلي از حضرت حق و اياز را نماد بنده اي مجذوب دانستند كه يك دم از حضور غافل نيست و رشك و غيرت او به محبوب هم مثال زدني است و در عين حال، فراست و كياست اياز سبب شد كه به واسطه عبرت از گذشته بي مقدار خود، آفت غرور را از خود دور كند و با عنايت حضرت حق كه محمود تمثيلي از آن است، به ارج و قربي برسد و گاه محمود، تمثيل انسان كامل است و اياز مثال سالك و توجه بيش از حد سلطان به او حسادت اطرافيان را بر مي انگيزد كه يادآور ارتباط تنگاتنگ مولانا و شمس و حسادت اطرافيان است.

Miracle as an effective tool in literary and especially mystical texts, has created a valuable and original work. Sometimes a historical and rare fact like attachment of the king Mahmud to the face and hair of his servant Ayyaz caused creation of the most beautiful artistic and intellectual masterpiece .What adds to the richness of these stories is the creativity and art of the most famous mystical poets such as Attar and Molavi who, in the description of their long mystical thoughts by expressing the allegorical and fascinating legends, bestowed this formal love, the divine and divine and heavenly aspect.
