چكيده فارسي :
مكتب هاي ادبي به اين دليل كه نشان دهنده مولفه هاي اجتماعي، سياسي و فرهنگي هر دوره هستند، معيارهايي مهم براي درك ويژگي هاي ادبي ادوار مختلف محسوب مي شوند. يكي از اين مكتب ها ناتوراليسم است كه در آغاز از طريق ترجمه آثار نويسندگان آمريكايي و اروپايي در دوره مشروطه به ادبيات داستاني فارسي راه يافت. احمد محمود به عنوان يكي از نمايندگان برجسته ناتوراليسم، قواعد و مولفه هاي اين مكتب را به نيت بازگويي نقدهاي اجتماعي و تشريح احوالات مردم در داستان هاي خود دخالت داده است. بررسي توصيفي- تحليلي مهم ترين ويژگي هاي ناتوراليستي «دريا هنوز آرام است» نشان مي دهد كه با توجه به عناصري همچون «جنبه هاي فيزيولوژيكي»، «شكستن حرمت كاذب واژگان»، «نفي آزادي و باور به جبر تاريخي و اجتماعي»، «سبك محاوره اي»، «توصيف دقيق و شرح جزئيات»، «محدوديت توانايي هاي جسماني»، «خلق شخصيت هايي با خوي حيواني» و «پايان غم انگيز داستان»، داستان مذكور واكنشي ادبي نسبت به ضعف ها و محروميت هاي عمدتا اقتصادي جامعه ايران در دهه هاي سي و چهل خورشيدي به شمار مي آيد. محمود در مواردي با توجه به بافت فرهنگي و ديني گروه هدف، از برخي مولفه هاي ناتوراليسم عدول كرده كه «عدم توجه به تاثير ژنتيك در زندگي افراد»، «بسامد پايين واژگان تابو» و «پرداختن به مسائل وراي طبيعت در سطحي محدود» از آن جمله است.

Literary schools are considered important criteria for understanding the literary qualities of different periods because they represent the social, political and cultural components of each period. One of these schools is naturalism, which was originally introduced to Persian fiction literature through the translation of the works of American and European writers during the Constitutional Revolution.
