This study designed for understanding reproductive biology of banana shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis). sampling was carried out monthly from Bandar Abbass to Sirik since 2000 to 2002. The analysis showed that the sex ratio was not 1:1 either seasonally(except Summer 2000) or annully(p<0.05). The peak of spawning was obtained in Spring season. Length at first maturity (LM ) for female was 30.21 mm carapace length.
