چكيده فارسي :
اطلاع از آينده و حوادث زندگي انسان، به ويژه امور مربوط به پزشكي همچون تعيين زمان مناسب براي مصرف ادويه و بازيابي سلامت، يكي از دغدغه‌هاي مهم بشر در ادوار گذشته بوده است، كه ظاهرا امكان اين پيش‌گويي با شكل‌گيري دانش احكام نجوم يا تنجيم ميسر گرديد.
اهميت اين دانش به حدي بود كه اين‌گونه احكام در بسياري از متون از جمله كتب نجومي و طبي براي مخاطبين خاص و تقويم‌هاي سنتي براي مخاطبين عام، در قرون متمادي درج مي‌شد تا اين‌كه با ورود دانش جديد اروپايي به ايران عهد قاجار، نگارش احكام نجوم در متون تخصصي طب و هيأت، كم‌رنگ اما در تقويم‌هاي نجومي همچنان ادامه يافت.
مسأله اصلي اين پژوهش، بررسي تعامل تنجيم با پزشكي، بر اساس فعاليت‌هاي عبدالغفار نجم‌الدوله و برخي از خاندان وي مي‌باشد. بدين منظور تلاش شده اطلاعات مربوط به اين پژوهش از طريق بررسي كتابخانه‌اي، گردآوري و فيش‌برداري شود، سپس به كمك تحليل مواد خام، داده‌هاي مورد نياز به دست آمد و در نهايت با رويكرد توصيفي ـ تحليلي تدوين متن حاضر صورت پذيرفت.
بدين ترتيب اين جستار با بررسي منابع تاريخي به اين نتيجه مي‌رسد كه به رغم آشنايي خاندان حاجي نجم‌الدوله با علوم جديد، به دليل تقاضاي غالب اقشار جامعه (از دربار و برخي دولت‌مردان تا طبقات فرو‌دست)، نگارش احكام نجومي مرتبط با پزشكي، در تقويم‌هاي چند نسل متوالي از اين خانواده تداوم يافت.

Prediction of future and events of human life, especially matters
related to medicine, such as determining the right time to take
medicine and health retrieval, were one of the major concerns of
mankind in the past. This predicts would become possible by using
astrology. The importance of this knowledge led astrology to be
written in astronomical and medical books for specific audience and
calendars for traditional audiences. When new European knowledge
arrived Iran, in Qajar era, writing astrology in contexts were missing
its position, but the astronomical calendars have continued.
The main aim of this study is to investigate the interaction between
astrology and medicine based on the works of Abdul Gaffar Najm alDoleh and his family. For this purpose, the current research attempts
to collect information by studying books and taking notes and then the
required data were obtained by analyzing raw information and at the
end, this article was written by using descriptive-analytic approach.
Thus, by investigation the history sources, this paper reaches to the
conclusion that despite of their familiarity with modern science, due to
the demand of society, writing astrological calendars were continued
by several successive generations of this family.
