تحليل مفهوم «احسان» و كاركرد آن‌ در اخلاق پزشكي اسلامي

Analysis of Concept of "Benevolence" and its Application in Islamic Medical Ethics

زمينه وهدف: احسان از جمله اصول اخلاقي است كه آيات و روايات بسياري بدان اختصاص يافته و آن را مورد تأكيد قرار داده‌اند. پايبندي بدين اصل اخلاقي علاوه برآثار مفيد فردي و اجتماعي، كاركردهاي فراواني در حوزه پزشكي دارد. پژوهش حاضر كوشيده است تا ضمن تبيين كاركردهاي اصل احسان، آن را در شمار اصول مهم اخلاق پزشكي اسلامي تقرير نمايد. روش: اين پژوهش به روش توصيفي- تحليلي، پس از تبيين مفهوم واژه احسان، آيات و روايات اسلامي در بارة احسان را مورد بررسي و تتبع قرار داده است. نتيجه‌گيري : نتايج به‌دست آمده حاكي از آن است كه احسان از اصول مهم اخلاقي در آموزهاي اسلامي است كه در حرفه پزشكي كاركرد فراوان دارد از اين‌رو مي‌توان آن‌ را از اصول اخلاق پزشكي اسلامي به‌شمار آورد. انفاق به نيازمندان، معاشرت نيكو، مواسات، گشاده رويي، محبت و مهرباني، نيز از مصاديق احسان است كه مراعات هر يك از آن‌ها در حوزه پزشكي مي‌تواند تأثير خدمات بهداشتي و درماني را به‌نفع بيمار افزايش داده، درمان و مراقبت را تسهيل نمايد و هنگامي‌كه در ارائه خدمات درماني به‌طور ناخواسته بيمار دچار آسيب و زيان ‌شود، اگر پزشك و درمانگر يا ارائه كننده مراقبت، واجد صلاحيت علمي وحذاقت لازم بوده، بدون اهمال و كوتاهي با اخذ رضايت و انگيزه خيرخواهانه نسبت به درمان بيمار اقدام نموده باشند، با استناد به قاعده «احسان»، مسؤوليت و ضماني بر عهده نخواهند داشت.

Background and Purpose: Benevolence (ihsan) is a moral principles addressed in many Qur’anic verses and hadiths, emphasizing its importance. Adherence to this ethical principle, in addition to its useful individual and social effects, has many applications in the field of medicine. The present study tried to explain the applications of the principle of benevolence and interpret it alongside important principles of Islamic medical ethics. Methodology: This study used a descriptive-analytical approach to explore the meanings of "benevolence" and examine related Islamic verses and hadiths. Conclusion: The results indicate that benevolence is an essential ethical principle in Islamic teachings, which has many applications in the medical profession, so it can be deemed as one of the principles of Islamic medical ethics. Charity to the needy, geniality, empathy, cordiality, love, and kindness are also examples of benevolence, the observance of which in the field of medicine can increase the effect of health services to the benefit of patients and facilitate treatment and care. Besides, in case a patient is inadvertently harmed in the course of receiving medical services, if a competent and scientifically qualified physician, therapist or care provider, having the consent of the patient, has treated the patient benevolently, they will not be responsible or liable according to the principle of ihsan, provided that they have not acted with negligence.
