Today, road traffic management is highly dependent on accurate and up-to-date road weather data, so the accuracy of more data that is taken from the stations, will be increase the accuracy of the decisions. Therefore, site selecting of the stations has a significant impact on the accuracy of the data obtained from them.Two factors, number and type of appropriate distribution of weather stations, play an essential role in determining and computing the meteorological data of a basin. Several factors affect the location of a road-weather meteorological station, such as environmental factors and climate Data, topography of elevation, slope, shadow, vegetation, environmental lighting, access to facilities such as electricity and telephone, etc. In this regard, the present study, based on descriptive-analytical method and with emphasis on its practical aspect, is trying to find in Khorasan Razavi province, that is one of the most populous provinces of the country in terms of road traffic and incidents Road and it is aimed at locating the meteorological stations of the road in its main ways of communication. Geographic Information System software has been used to determine the optimal location point. Therefore, after the required layers are provided, the mentioned indices, since each layer has a different value and importance in identifying the appropriate location, therefore, the fuzzy logic method and the AHP hierarchy analysis to prioritize the proposed points has been used. After performing the steps and applying models, suitable points were identified from the environmental, climate, traffic and risk perspectives.
