جامعه اسلامي جامعه‌اي است كه فرهنگ اسلامي در آن حاكم است جامعه اسلامي در كلام امام خامنه‌اي(مد ظله العالي) شاخص‌ها و خصوصياتي دارد كه با آنها شناخته مي‌شود و از ديگر جوامع متمايز مي‌گردد. سازمان‌ها، نهادها، نيروهاي مسلح، مراكز آموزشي و فرهيختگان، مي‌توانند با نهادينه كردن شاخص‌ها و ويژگي‌هاي جامعه اسلامي در خود و سازمان متبوع، به تحقق جامعه اسلامي كمك نمايند. ازجمله شاخص‌هاي اصلي جامعه اسلامي بر اساس فرمايشات رهبر معظم انقلاب اين است كه در جامعه‌ي اسلامي، حكومت سلطنتي، حكومت شخصي، حكومت زَر و زور، حكومت اشرافي، حكومت تكبّر بر مردم، حكومت امتيازخواهي و زياده‌خواهي و براي خود جمع كردن و افزودن و حكومت شهوت‌راني معنا ندارد. همچنين در جامعه‌ي اسلامي همه‌ي آحاد وظيفه دارند، مسئوليّت دارند، بايد كار انجام بدهند؛ كار براي پيشرفت جامعه، كار براي امّت باشد.
