The Status of the Kufa Mosque in Islamic Civilization

مساجد جامع برخي شهرها، از زمان صدر اسلام و پس از آن، نه تنها در بعد عبادي بلكه در تمامي ابعاد آموزشي، فرهنگي، سياسي، اجتماعي واقتصادي، بسيار فعال بوده‌اند. تمامي اين ابعاد و كاركردها زمينه‌اي شد تا تمدن اسلامي از درون مساجد مسلمين آغاز گشته و مساجد، خصوصاً مساجد جامع، نخستين پايگاه براي رشد و بالندگي اين تمدن فراگير محسوب شوند. مهم‌ترين كاركرد مسجد، به عنوان مهم‌ترين ركن زايش و اعتلاي يك تمدن اصيل، كاركرد علمي و آموزشي آن است و در اين مقاله بدان بيش‌تر از ساير كاركردها پرداخته مي‌شود. مسجد، ابتدايي ترين و مهم‌ترين مركز اشاعه‌ي علوم مختلف بوده و نقش مهمي در شكل گيري تمدن اسلامي داشته‌اند. در اين ميان، مسجد جامع كوفه نيز، به دليل جامعيت علمي و درك حضور اساتيدي همچون اميرالمؤمنين امام علي(ع)، امام باقر(ع) و امام صادق(ع) و به تبع آنان صحابي و شاگردان اين ائمه‌ي همام، مركز نشر علوم و تعليم و تعلم بوده و نقشي بي‌بديل در رونق علوم و شكوفايي تمدن اسلامي داشته است و در تأثيرگذاري و اهميت آن، همين بس كه شهر كوفه را، بعد از مكه و مدينه، به عنوان سومين مركز علمي-اسلامي مطرح نموده است. پژوهش حاضر بر آن است كه جايگاه مسجد جامع كوفه و نقش كليدي آن را در تمدن اسلامي بر اساس شواهد تاريخي و مطالعات كتابخانه‌اي اثبات نمايد.

Comprehensive mosques in some cities have been active in all aspects of education, culture, politics, society, and economics, since the early days of Islam and afterwards, not only in the religious dimension. All of these dimensions and functions provided the basis for Islamic civilization to begin within Muslim mosques. an‎d the mosques, especially the mosques, are the first base for the growth of this inclusive civilization. The most important function of the mosque, as the most important pillar of the birth and promotion of an authentic civilization, is its scientific and educational function. an‎d this article deals with it more than other functions. The mosque has been the primary and most important center of dissemination of various sciences and has played an important role in the formation of Islamic civilization. In the meantime, the Kufa Mosque is also known for its academic integrity and understanding of the presence of professors Like the Imam Ali (as) and Imam Sadiq (as) and consequently their companions and students of this Imam, Has been the center of science and education publishing and has played an integral role in the prosperity of science and the flourishing of Islamic civilization an‎d in its impact and importance, it is enough to make Kufa, after Mecca and Medina, the third Islamic-scientific center. The present study seeks to prove the status of the Kufa Mosque and its key role in Islamic civilization based on historical evidence and library studies.
