Rural Industries of Mazandaran Province; An Economic Analysis

This paper focuses to calculation of Marginal Productiviy of Labor & Capital and to top productivity of production factors. In then proceeds analysis of employment and investment trend It creates the unit for subseetors of Rural industries in Mazandaran province. The period corered by the analysis is 1994-1998. Marginal Productivity is calculated through production function and total productivity of factors of factors using index Method. The results are following: 1. Marginal Productivity of labor in the mineral, textile (Sc metal subseetors is, on average the lower than all othe subseetors. 2. Marginal Productivity of capital in the metal and food indnstines is, on the average lower than the other industries. 3. Total Productivity of factors in the chemical and cellulous industries is greater than the other rural industries of province.4. The growth rate of rural industries of this province is lower than the country levels in all aspects. 5. The regional growth rate is the food industries is lower than national growth rate in various aspects (employment, number of units, capital stock and products vaIueo). 6. By using the spatial coefficient it is shown that mineral industries, in terms of employment, number of units, capital stock and products value, are not stationary. Other industries differ in this respect.
