كتاب ارزشمند «مطالعاتي در باب سنتهاي عقلاني اسامي در قرون مياني » مجموعه مقالاتي است به قلم زابينه اشميتكه و حسن انصاري كه در عرصه مطالعات اسامي و به طور خاص حوزه شناخت جريان هاي فكري عقلاني اسامي به نگارش درآمده است. اين كتاب ويراست بازنگريسته و تازه شده اي است از مجموعه مقالاتي كه پيش از اين هر يك جدا گانه در مجات و مجالات مختلف به چاپ رسيده بوده است و ا كنون در كنار هم و در قالب مجلدي مستقل بازچاپ شده است. مقالات اين كتاب بخش مهمي از پژوه شهاي دامنه دار و پرشماري است كه نويسندگان نامبرده طي چند دهه اخير در خصوص مكتب معتزله و دو مذهب مرتبط با آن در قرون مياني اسامي، يعني اماميه و زيديه منتشر كرده اند. نوشتار حاضر به معرفي اين مجموعه مقالات مي پردازد.

Studies in Medieval Islamic Intellectual Traditions, by Sabine Schmidtke and Hasan Ansāri, is a collection of articles written in the field of Islamic Studies, and specifically focuses on understanding Islamic intellectual currents. This book is a revised edition of a collection of papers each one of which has previously been published in journals, and now are all together republished in the form of an independent book. The articles in this book are an important part of numerous studies the mentioned authors have over the past few decades carried out and published about Mu›tazila School and two related religions in the Islamic Middle Ages, named Imamiyya and Zaidiyya.
