حمايت اجتماعي به گسترش شبكه ارتباطي در جامعه كمك مي كند. در نتيجه اين ارتباطات، روابط و پيوندهاي اجتماعي تقويت مي شود. از اين رو لازم است زمينه افزايش شبكه هاي اجتماعي از سوي مسئولان فراهم شود. شبكه هاي اجتماعي، افراد را بنا به ميل آنها در گروه هاي خاص قرار مي دهد. درست است كه شبكه هاي اجتماعي براي محيط هاي بسته تر به ويژه در محل كار، دانشگاه ها و دبيرستان ها نيز كاربرد دارد، ولي در محيط اينترنت هم محبوبيت بالايي به دست آورده است. تسهيل شرايط دسترسي افراد به اين شبكه ها در تقويت پيوندهاي اجتماعي و امنيت رواني افراد مؤثر است.احساس امنيت از طريق سطوح مختلف اعتماد فرد به عوامل پيراموني اش تأمين مي شود.بنابراين درجه اعتمادورزي و حمايت اجتماعي فرد به ديگران مشخصه مناسبي براي تعيين درجه احساس امنيت وي تلقي مي شود. از اين رو به نظر مي رسد آنچه مي تواند بر احساس ناامني و ترس افراد غلبه كند، تقويت روابط اعتمادآميز و بها دادن به چيزي است كه امروزه با عنوان سرمايه اجتماعي در نظريه پردازي هاي اجتماعي اهميت روزافزوني يافته است.براساس يافته هاي تحقيق، عواملي همچون حمايت هاي اجتماعي، سطح اعتماد در جامعه، ، ميزان جرائم در سطح جامعه و بي نظمي هاي اجتماعي و پيوندهاي اجتماعي بر احساس امنيت شهروندان تأثير مي گذارد. در اين چهارچوب، هدف اصلي مقاله حاضر بررسي نقش و ضرورت حمايت اجتماعي بعنوان يكي ازرفتارهاي مدني و متغيرهاي اساسي تأثيرگذار براحساس امنيت اجتماعي در گستره ي تبادلات و ارتباطات علوم اجتماعي و ضرورت پرداختن به آن است.دستيابي به اين هدف در قالب تعريف احساس امنيت اجتماعي، عوامل مؤثر بر آن، احساس امنيت اجتماعي در ايران و ارائه راهكارهاي لازم دنبال خواهد شد.

Social support helps to expand the communication network in the community. As a result of these connections, relationships and social ties are strengthened. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the ground for increasing social networks by the officials. Social networks place people in specific groups according to their wishes. It is true that social networks are used for more closed environments, especially in the workplace, universities and high schools, but it has also become very popular in the Internet environment. Facilitating people's access to these networks is effective in strengthening social ties and psychological security of individuals. The feeling of security is provided through different levels of trust in the surrounding factors. Therefore, the degree of trust and social support of others to others is considered a good indicator to determine the degree of feeling of security. Therefore, it seems that what can overcome people's feelings of insecurity and fear is to strengthen trusting relationships and value what is now increasingly important in social theorizing as social capital. According to the research findings, factors such as social support, the level of trust in society, the level of crime in the community and social disorders and social ties affect the sense of security of citizens. In this context, the main purpose of this article is to investigate the role and necessity of social support as one of the civic behaviors and the basic variables affecting the sense of social security in the field of social science exchanges and communications and the need to address it. Achieving this goal will be pursued in the form of defining the feeling of social security, the factors affecting it, the feeling of social security in Iran and providing the necessary solutions.
