نقش و جايگاه مؤثر خانوادها در رشد و تعالي افراد، نهادينه كردن اصول و ارزش‌هاي جامعه و نهايتاً پيشگيري از انحرافات اجتماعي بر كسي پوشيده نيست. با توجه به اين كه موفقيت خانواده‌ها در پيشگيري از انحراف و بزهكاري نوجوانان و جوانان مستلزم تربيت درست آنان در زمان كودكي است، اين پژوهش با استفاده از روش كتابخانه‌اي و اسنادي ابتدا با استفاده از نظرات بزرگان در رابطه با تأثير تربيت فرد در زمان كودكي و نقش خانواده‌ها در اين باره، به بحث در ارتباط با عوامل آسيب‌‌زاي خانواده‌ها پرداخته و سپس به رابطه ساختار خانواده و تعاملات اعضاي خانواده و نقش آن در پيشگيري از آسيب‌هاي اجتماعي پرداخته شده است. نتايج نشان مي‌دهد خانواده نابهنجار باعث شكل گيري نادرست نظام شخصيتي و اجتماعي فرد در دوران كودكي و نوجواني شده و شكل گيري و فرايند تربيت را دچار اختلال مي‌كند و احتمال بروز رفتار‌هاي نابهنجار و ضد اجتماعي را افزايش مي‌دهد.
