مهمترين رسالت نظام اسلامي برنامه ريزي براي رشد و پرورش انسان هاي مؤمن و عالم به تعاليم الهي است. انجام اين رسالت علاوه بر بالندگي، دوام و استكمال نظام اسلامي را به دنبال دارد و بستري را فراهم مي كند تا آحاد جامعه وظايفي كه خداوند براي آ نها معين فرموده، انجام دهند و به سوي فلاح و رستگاري گام بردارند. امروزه بشر با شتابي وصف ناپذير از جامعه صنعتي به فرا صنعتي و از فنّاوري به نانو فنّاوري پا نهاده اما در مباحث اخلاقي و ارزشي سير قهقرايي پيدا كرده است، طوري كه زمينه بروز و ظهور انواع نگراني ها، ناامني هاي رواني و اجتماعي و بحران هويت خصوصاً براي نوجوانان و جوانان را فراهم نموده است. تنها راه چاره براي مصون ماندن جوانان، اين است كه گمشده خود را كه همان هويت ديني و روحاني است پيدا كنند، لذا هدف اين مقاله تبيين مفهوم هويت ديني و ارائه راهكارهاي به منظور تقويت هويت ديني نوجوانان و جوانان است. در اين مقاله با بررسي و مرور منابع اطلاعاتي به شيوه كتابخانه اي به تحليل مسائل مربوط به هويت ديني جوانان و را ههاي تقويت آن پرداخته شده است. از بررسي مطالب مطرح شده مشخص گرديد كه به حكم وظيفه مسلمان بودن، نوجوانان و جوانان را متعبد مي خواهيم و آرزو مي كنيم كه آنان در مسير لغزش و خطا نباشند، مي خواهيم كه آنان داراي آگاهي هاي كافي و در جنبه مذهبي عامل باشند، در هر حال ضرورت حيات حال و آينده آنان است كه افرادي خداپرست و با فضيلت پرورش يابند و براي آينده اي نزديك، راه زندگي شرافتمندانه اي را در پيش گيرند. آنان براي يك زندگي آرام نياز به ايمان و هويت ديني دارند؛ زيرا ايمان عاملي براي اتكا و اطمينان و موجبي براي رشد و پرورش انسان است. يافته ها و مطالعات روان شناختي در باب كليدهاي آموختن درباره خدا و تربيت ديني نشان مي دهد كه چقدر مي تواند در جهت تقويت دين باوري و هويت ديني افراد جامعه مؤثر واقع گردد و به نوجوانان و جوانان اين اميد را بدهد كه چگونه انسانيت و ديانت خود را حفظ كرده و رشد بدهند تا منجر به آرامش رواني و تكامل آنان گردد.
