برزخ اخلاق‌ورزي در ايران معاصر

اخلاق‌ورزي در ايران معاصر مشكلاتي دارد كه بي‌توجهي به آنها مانع از رشد و شكوفايي اين عرصه مي‌شود. امروزه شاهد رستاخيزي در عرصۀ اخلاق هستيم و به نظر مي‌رسد كه اين رشتۀ علمي متقاضيان جدّي دارد. با اين همه، تا نگرش رايج و مسلط بر اين عرصه اصلاح نشود، نمي‌توان انتظار چنداني داشت كه اين عرصه رونق گيرد. نويسنده، با اين اميد كه اين عرصه گسترش مناسب و مقبوليت عمومي پيدا كند، كوشيده است تا برخي مشكلات انديشگي و نگرشي را در اين عرصه بازشناسي و بازگو كند. برخي از معضلات اصلي اين عرصه عبارت‌اند از انكار اصالت اخلاق و بي‌موضوع ساختن آن، تحويل بردن اخلاق به فقه يا عرفان، نگرش قدّيسانه به اخلاق‌ورزان، ورود نامتخصصان به اين عرصه و رواج فرهنگ نوشتن در جزاير پراكنده.

Moral studies in contemporary Iran face problems the ignorance of which is likely to halt the flourishing of this field. Today we see a revival of the field of ethics and it seems that there are more and more ardent students of the field. However, it cannot be expected to thrive unless the common, predominant conception of moral studies is corrected. In the hope of a wider flourishing of this field, I seek to identify and iterate some of the intellectual and attitudinal problems of this field. Here are some of the main problems: denying the originality of ethics and its importance, reducing ethics to jurisprudence or mysticism, a saintly conception of ethicists, contributions by non-specialists in the field, and the increase of isolated, disconnected writings regarding ethics.
