چكيده فارسي :
برخي بر اين اعتقادند كه علاوه بر عوامل بيروني از قبيل اجتماع، فقر، تربيت ناصحيح، عدم نظارت والدين، سختي دوران كودكي و ... عوامل ديگري در خود فرد به صورت نهفته وجود دارد كه او را به سوي جنايت‌هاي سريالي سوق مي‌دهد.
در برخي موارد ممكن است كه اين قاتلان، از بدو تولد و به صورت وراثتي مشكلات رواني خاصي داشته باشند، كه اين مشكلات هنگامي كه با آزارها و تجربه‌هاي تلخ كودكي همراه شود، باعث تشديد مشكل شده و آنها را به سمت جنايت‌هاي سريالي هدايت كند. برخي از محققان عقيده دارند كه اين قاتلان زنجيره‌اي نوعي جنون مشابه دارند، يعني نوعي مشكل ذهني و رواني كه آنها را به سمت خون و كشتار مي‌كشاند، برخي ديگر معتقدند كه يك كروموزوم غير‌طبيعي مي‌تواند عاملي براي تشخيص يك قاتل سريالي از يك شخص عادي باشد، اين‌گونه از انسان‌ها به جاي احساس افسوس و پشيماني از انجام قتل‌ها، احساس رضايت و رهايي مي‌كنند.
اگر بيماري‌هاي رواني را در زمره عوامل دروني مؤثر بر ارتكاب قتل‌هاي سريالي بدانيم، از موضوعات مورد بحث در روان‌شناسي جنايي است. در نظام‌هاي مختلف حقوق كيفري در سراسر دنيا از جمله ايران مسئله اختلال رواني مورد توجه قانون‌گذار بوده است. جرم‌شناسان در رابطه با تأثير سلامت يا عدم سلامت روان بر بزه‌كاري اظهار داشته‌اند كه بيماري‌هاي رواني مي‌توانند فرد را مستعد ارتكاب اعمال خشونت‌آميز كنند؛ بنابراين چه اين بيماري‌ها جنبه رواني داشته باشند و چه جنبه عصبي، فرد مبتلا را از سويي در معرض ارتكاب جرم و از سويي ديگر در معرض آسيب‌پذيري و بزه‌ديدگي قرار مي‌دهد.

Some believe that in addition to external factors such as social, poverty, bad education, lack of parental supervision, difficult childhood times and etc, there are other factors that lead the person to the serial murders. In some cases, it is possible that these murderers genetically have particular psychological problems from the birth, that these problems when are associated with childhood abuse and traumatic experiences, would exacerbate the problem and lead them to the serial crimes. Some researchers believe that serial killers have the same kind of madness, a kind of mental problem that brought them to blood and killing. Others believe that an abnormal chromosome can be a factor for the diagnosis of a normal person from a serial killer. These people, rather than feel remorse for the killings, they feel satisfaction and relief. If mental illness is among the internal factors affecting serial murder, we should understand the issues in forensic psychology. In different systems of criminal law around the world, including Iran, the issue of mental disorder has been noticed by the legislators. Criminologists say about the impact of mental health disorders on crime: Mental illness can make a person prone to committing acts of violence. Therefore, These diseases, whether they have a mental aspect or aspects of nervous, patients are at risk of committing a crime on one hand and on the other hand puts at risk the vulnerability and victimization.
