The Role of Cyber Space in the Development of Crime and Insecurity, With an Emphasis on Social Networks

شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي يكي از مهم‌ترين وسايلِ ارتباطي و تعاملي جوامع انساني هستند كه هر روز بر تعداد كاربران آن افزوده مي شود. هر چند، اين امكانات، بشر امروزي را توانمندتر از گذشته كرده است، اما آسيب‌هايي را نيز بر زندگي او وارد كرده است. مقاله حاضر، با استفاده از منابع اسنادي به روشِ تحليلي- توصيفي، ضمن تبيين نقش شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي در بروز جرايم و انحرافات، در پي پاسخ‌گويي به اين سؤال است كه آيا شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي مي‌توانند جرايم و ناامني جامعه را توسعه ببخشند؟ نتايج به‌دست‌آمده حاكيست، فناوري هاي ارتباطات و اطلاعات با ايجاد فضاي مجازي در كنار فضاي واقعي علاوه بر تبادل فرهنگ بين اين دو فضا، موجبات تبادل جرم و آسيب‌هاي اجتماعي را فراهم آورده است. شبكه هاي اجتماعي به عنوان مظهرِ فناوري‌هاي ارتباطات و اطلاعات، با تغيير فرهنگ و هويت و عادي‌سازي رفتارها، مي‌تواند سبب بروز جرايم و انحرافات جديد و افزايش جرايم سنتي، در هر دو فضاي مجازي و واقعي بشود.

Social networks are one of the most important means of communication and interactive communities that each day the number of their users increases. However, with these facilities the modern human is more capable than in the past, but also have caused some damages to his life. This paper, using documentary resources with analytical – descriptive method has explained the role of social networks in the incidence of crimes and offenses and also answers this question that can social networks develop crime and insecurity in society? The results suggest, information and communication technologies with creating a virtual space on the side of real space in addition to the cultural exchange between these two spaces, triggered an exchange of crime and social harm. Social networking as a symbol of communication and information technologies, with change in culture and identity and normalization of behaviors, can cause new distortions and crimes as well as increased traditional crimes, in both real and virtual space.
