Mohtadi Abbasi (Ruling 255-256); from Ppolitical Reforms to struggling against Imāmiyah

اقدامات سياسي-اداري مهتدي او را را از ديگر خلفاي عباسي متمايز كرده بود. سوال اصلي پژوهش اين است كه مهتدي براي احياي خلافت عباسيان و مهار فعاليت هاي شيعيان چه اقداماتي انجام داد؟ اين پژوهش با بررسي منابع تاريخي نشان مي دهد كه مهتدي به سبب انتشار اخبار مربوط به تولد امام دوازدهم و گسترش قيام هاي شيعي در شهرهاي مختلف، به رقابت با اماميه پرداخته بود. از اين رو خليفه عباسي در رقابت معنوي با بيت امام حسن عسكري، تلاش كرد تا ضمن اصلاحات سياسي در دربار، با پيروي از الگوي فكري خليفه اموي، عمر بن عبدالعزيز، زهدگرايي را در خلافت عباسي رواج دهد. نابساماني دربار، سركشي فرماندهان و ناتواني او در آرام كردن نظاميان، موجب شده تا برنامه هاي او به ثمر ننشيند و بلافاصله پس از حكومت كوتاه او، روش خشونت و ارعاب دوره متوكل بر دربار عباسيان مستولي شود.

Muhtadi's political-administrative had distinguished him from other Abbasid caliphs. The main question of the research is what measures did Mohtadi take to revive the Abbasid caliphate and to control the measurements of the Shiites? Having investigated historical sources, this study shows that Mohtadi competed with the Imamiyyah due to the broadcasting of news about the birth of the twelfth Imam and the spread of Shiite rebellions in numerous cities. Therefore, the Abbasid Caliph, in a spiritual competition with the house of Imam Hassan Askari (AS), tried to make political reforms in the royal courtyard while following the intellectual patterns of Ummayid caliph Amr bin Abdolaziz, asceticism in Abbasid caliphate. The chaos of the royal court, the disobedience of the commanders, and his inability to control the soldiers made him unsuccessful, and soon after the termination of his short office, violence and intimidation of the Mutawakkil's period dominated the Abbasid court.
