چكيده فارسي :
مطالعه حاضر به بررسي كاركردهاي مدرن مسجد جامع در شهر قاين مي‌پردازد. روش مطالعه روش اسنادي كتابخانه‌اي است. از منظر تاريخي شهر ايراني به سه نهاد محله، بازار و مسجد شناخته مي‌شود. محله، محل زندگي و سكونت، بازار محل تجارت و دادوستد و مسجد محل عبادت و مسائل مذهبي بوده است. هركدام از اين نهادهاي شهري درگذشته داراي كاركردهاي سنتي بوده و تاكنون نيز اين كاركردها را حفظ كرده‌اند؛ ولي با مدرن شدن شهر ايراني و تغييرات ماهوي در آن، لاجرم نهادهاي شهر نيز تغيير ماهيت داده و علاوه بر حفظ كاركردهاي سنتي، داراي كاركردهاي مدرن نيز شده‌اند. امروزه مساجد در شهرهاي كوچك مانند قاين علاوه بر انجام و حفظ كاركردهاي سنتي، با توجه به نيازهاي كنوني به انجام كاركردها و وظايف مدرن ازجمله حفظ امنيت و پايداري شهر نيز مي‌پردازد.
مسجد جامع شهر قاين يكي ازاين‌گونه مسجدها است. در اين مقاله تلاش مي‌شود به بررسي كاركردهاي جديد اين مسجد پرداخته شود. مسجد از ابتداي تأسيس داراي كاركردهاي سياسي، اجتماعي آموزشي، فرهنگي و... بوده، به‌طوري‌كه امروزه اين كاركردها را حفظ كرده و يا به آن كاركردهاي جديدي اضافه شده است علاوه بر اين كاركردهاي فرهنگي آموزشي، اقتصادي و حتي درماني است؛ لذا مسجد جامع قاين مي‌تواند به‌عنوان يكي از مساجد موفق و بسيار تأثيرگذار در سطح شهر قاين معرفي كرد. چنين موفقيتي حاصل شرايط متعدد است. بدون شك يكي از ويژگي‌هاي بارز اين مسجد كه آن را از بسياري مساجد ديگر شهر متمايز مي‌كند، بزرگي و زيبايي است.
طراحي بسيار زيبا و كم‌نظير باعث شده تا اين مسجد از جايگاه بسيار ويژه‌اي برخوردار باشد. مساحت زياد و تناسب آن با معماري ايراني اسلامي از شاخصه‌هاي ممتاز آن است. چنين تركيب عناصري در كالبد مسجد به‌خوبي رعايت شده است .از همين رو اين مسجد را مي‌تواند يكي از فعال‌ترين و پركارترين مساجد قاين در حوزه پايداري و امنيت شهر به‌حساب آورد.

The present study addresses the modern functions of Jameh Mosque in the city of Gaen by using documentary and library sources. Form the historical perspective, an Iranian city is consisted of neighborhood, market, and mosque. Neighborhood, market, and mosque are respectively a place for residence, trade and worship. Each of these urban elements has had traditional functions in the past and has so far; but the modernization of Iranian cities and the dramatic changes in it have caused many changes in these functions in nature. Although they still have preserved the traditional functions but they have modern functions too. Today, in small cities such as Gaen, the mosques in addition to performing and preserving traditional functions are used to meet the modern needs and functions such as the maintenance of the security. In this paper, we will examine the modern functions of Jameh mosque of Qaen. Since the establishment of this mosque, it has had political, social, educational, cultural functions, etc. but new ones have been added such as cultural, educational, economic and even therapeutic. Therefore, it can be considered as one of the most influential buildings in the city of Qaen. This grand and beautiful mosque is a masterpiece of Islamic-Iranian architecture.
