Racial Discrimination in the United States During the Trump Presidency; Causes, Backgrounds and Providing Media Strategies

مسئله تعارضات نژادي در امريكا پيشينه‌‌ي تاريخيِ طولاني دارد. هرچند اين كشور از بدو تأسيس با اين پديده دست به گريبان بوده است، اما در سال‌هاي اخير و به‌ويژه پس از حوادث شهر شارلوتزويل در آگوست 2017 و اظهارات و اقدامات ترامپ، اين مسئله به‌صورت جدي‌تري حيات سياسي امريكا را دستخوش چالش نموده است. از اين رو، اين مقاله با روش توصيفي ـ تحليلي، اين پرسش اصلي را مطرح مي‌كند كه چه علل و عواملي در تشديد تعارضات نژادي در امريكا از سال 2016 به بعد نقش داشته‌اند و چگونه مي‌توان آن‌ها را تبيين كرد؟ برخي از علل تشديد اين تعارضات، ريشه در مسايل و مشكلات ساختاري دارد كه در نظام آموزشي، قضايي، سياسي، اقتصادي و اجتماعي امريكا نهفته است و از بدو تأسيس اين كشور وجود داشته و كماكان نيز تداوم دارد. بخش مهم ديگر نيز به ويژگي‌ها و شخصيت ترامپ، افكار و اقدامات وي، آراي سفيدپوستان و همچنين حمايت گروه‌هاي راست افراطي از وي، مربوط مي‌شود. اين پديده مي‌تواند در دو بعد داخلي و بين‌المللي پيامدهاي مهمي از تشديد فضاي دو قطبي تا افزايش شكاف‌هاي ساختاري، جنسيتي و طبقاتي گرفته تا افول قدرت نرم و جايگاه امريكا در نظام بين‌الملل را به همراه داشته باشد.

The issue of racial strife in America has a long, historical background. Although US have been struggling with this phenomenon since its inception, it has seriously challenged American political life in recent months and days, especially after the events in Charlottesville and Trump's rhetoric and actions. Therefore, this paper with a descriptive-analytical approach raises the key question that what causes and factors have contributed to the escalation of racial strife in America since 2016 and how can it be explained? Some of the causes of the escalation of these conflicts are rooted in structural problems that lie within the educational, judicial, political, economic, and social structures of the United States and it has existed since its inception and has continued. Another important part is related to Trump's character and personality, his thoughts and actions, his views of white people, as well as his support of far-right groups. This phenomenon can have important repercussions in both domestic and international dimensions, from the intensification of bipolar space to the widening structural, gender, class divisions, to the decline of soft power and America's place in the international system.
