Investigating elements of resistance literature in the process of translation: a case study of Gheysar Aminpour's poems and their English translations by Saeid Saeidpour

بررسي ادبيات پايداري در حقيقت بررسي دلاوري ها و ظلم ستيزي يك ملت است. دانستن اين موضوع كه آيا مترجم به درستي مفاهيم پايداري را دريافته يا تنها به انتقال كلمات بسنده كرده و اينكه موفق شده اصول فكري شاعر را همانگونه كه در جامعه مبدأ ملموس است در جامعه مقصد نيز فراهم سازد ، تنها با بررسي تطبيقي آنها ممكن مي شود. مقاله پيش رو در تلاش براي بررسي ترجمه انگليسي اشعار پايداري امين پور توسط سعيدپوردر مدل ترجمه هاوس بوده است. پژوهشگران با بررسي اين اشعار و ترجمه آنها در پي يافتن شيوه مترجم براي انتقال اين مفاهيم عميق بوده اند. درنتيجه اين پژوهش مشخص شد مترجم تنها آثاري را ترجمه كرده كه با ترجمه تحت اللفظي قادر به انتقال آنها به زبان مقصد بوده و در ترجمه آثاري كه چند سطحي بوده و در لايه هاي زيرين خود ، مفاهيم پايداري را دربرداشته اند، نتوانسته روح پايداري مستتر در اشعار را انتقال دهد و تنها به انتقال لايه‌هاي ظاهري شعر بسنده كرده است. در نتيجه مترجم بايد در ترجمه اين نوع ادبي به عوامل متعددي توجه كند كه مطالعه تاريخچه و آثار پايداري جامعه مقصد و توجه به بار معنايي متفاوت كلمات در دو جامعه از جمله آنها است.

Today, investigating a nation's Resistance Literature means digging into that nation's history of bravery, courage and fight against oppression. Therefore, the reflection of this division of literature in the other societies is of great importance. To know if the translator has been successful in transferring the concepts, i.e. elements of resistance or s/he has just replaced the words with the target equivalents is only possible when the source and target texts are compared and contrasted. The present study included a comparison of Gheysar Aminpour's poems and their English translations by Saeid Daeidpour according the Translation Quality Assessment model of Julianne House. After analyzing the data, it was revealed that the translator has chosen to translate only those poems that gave way to a literal translation. In rendering multi-layered poems that included resistance elements and concepts in their depth, the translator has not been successful. This obviously represented the necessity of translator's acquaintance with literary genres, their requirements and specifications, both in the source and the target literature, since non-acquaintance could deeply affect the quality of translation.
