نسبت كاستي ايمان به زنان در خطبه هشتاد نهج البلاغه، به ظاهر حكايت از نقص استعدادي زنان در رسيدن به كمال دارد. خصوصا آنكه كاستي ايمان آنها به كناره گيري از نماز در هنگام عادت ماهانه مستند شده است. از آنجا كه مهم ترين كمال در انديشه ديني تقرب به خداوند و دستيابي به ايمان كامل است، نقص ايمان زنان به معناي نفي برابري زن و مرد در ارزشمندي خواهد بود و متن ياد شده، حكايت از نقص توان زن در رسيدن به حقيقت ايمان دارد. از اين رو بررسي اين پرسش، از اهميت بسيار برخوردار است كه معناي اين روايت چيست. ايمان چه معنايي دارد و نقش عمل به تكاليف در ايمان چقدر است. اين پژوهش به روش توصيفي تحليلي بر پايه فرضيه صدور روايت، اعتنا به ظاهر آن و توجه به آيات و روايات ديگر مبني بر عدم فرق بين زن و مرد در قبول عبادات، به اظهار نظر پيرامون اين روايت پرداخته است. زنان به علت دوري از نماز و روزه در بعضي از روزها، دچار نقص در ايمان هستند. از طرفي امكان جبران اين نقص براي زنان وجود دارد. به همين خاطر تعارضي با قرآن يا سائر روايات ندارد.

This research has This research has commented on this narration in a descriptive-analytical method based on the hypothesis of issuing a narration, paying attention to its appearance and paying attention to other verses and narrations stating that there is no difference between men and women in accepting worships. Women suffer from a lack of faith due to abstaining from prayer and fasting on some days. On the other hand, it is possible for women to compensate for this defect. Therefore, it does not conflict with the Qur'an or other narrations.
