ثبت نوين، شكل تحول يافته ثبت سنتي و محصول انقلاب فنآوري اطلاعات است، ثبت نوين دانشي است كه با وسايل الكترونيكي مثل، امضاء الكترونيك، اسكنر انگشت نگار و سامانه هوشمند، به ثبت اسناد و املاك مي پردازد تا موجب امنيت مالكيت و پيشگيري وضعي از وقوع جرم، عليه مالكيت شود. ازنگاه پيشگيري از جرايم عليه اموال ومالكيت، جرم شناسي كاربردي پيشگيرانه نيز، با مطالعه روش هاي علمي پيشگيرانه، ازوقوع جرايم ، جلوگيري مي كند، چون هردو دانش ثبت الكترونيك و جرم شناسي پيشگيرانه، از وسايل و روش هاي علمي، براي مهار جرم بهره مي برند و رسالت مشترك پيشگيري از جرم دارند، لذا هر دو دانش در « روش و هدف» با همديگرارتباط دارند، بدين سان، بنظر مي رسد، ثبت نوين، مصداق روشني از جرم شناسي كاربردي پيشگيرانه است كه، هدف آن، پيشگيري وضعي از جرايم حوزه اموال، املاك و مالكيت، است. با توجه به همگرايي دو دانش مذكور، هدف مقاله، تبيين نقش ثبت نوين، در پيشگيري از وقوع جرم، دردو نظام حقوقي ايران و امارات است. يافته هاي تحقيق كه به روش مطالعه توصيفي تحليلي قوانين و متون حقوق ثبت دو كشور، با نگاه تطبيقي انجام گرفته، اثبات مي كند كه ثبت نوين با تدابير وابزار ديجيتالي ازقبيل: بيومتريك، كارت هوشمند ملي، دفاتر ثبت الكترونيك ونظام كاداستر، باعث كاهش يا حتي در مواردي حذف دعاوي ودر نهايت، پيشگيري از جرم دردو نظام حقوقي ايران و امارات مي گردد.
