اين نوشتار برآن است كه به بررسي مساله شرور و رابطه آن با آفرينش شيطان در نظام احسن بپردازد. مساله شر همواره چالشي براي بشر بوده است و سوالات بسياري را با خود به همراه داشته است. يكي ازآن سوال هاي مهم سازگاري شري چون خلقت شيطان با وجود خداست. بدون ترديد آفرينش شيطان و وجود او شر محض است. از طرفي ديگر مي دانيم نظام آفرينش بهترين نظام ممكن است كه خداوند با توجه به خير محض بودن آن آفريد. در اين جا مساله اي رخ مي نمايدكه عالم خلقتي كه بهترين نظام است، با خلقت شيطان كه شر محض است، چگونه تناسب دارد و چرا خدايي كه خير محض است، شيطاني بيافريندكه فعل او اغواگري و اضلال وگمراه كردن آدميان است. زيرا نظام احسن اقتضاء داردكه خداوند تمامي اسباب تكامل آدمي را فراهم سازد. پس آفرينش موجودي چون شيطان با حكمت بالغه الهي و وجود نظام احسن سازگار نيست. ملاصدرا براساس مباني حكمت متعاليه معتقد است كه خداوند ابليس را كه موجودي از موجودات است آفريد و اين موجود چون صاحب اختيار و اراده است، از رهگذر اختيار و اراده راه گمراهي را در پيش گرفته و ديگران را به وسوسه وگمراهي مي كشاند. علاوه براين نكته، موجودات وجود في نفسه و لغيره دارند، وجود في نفسه او خير است و از آنجايي كه بالنسبه به ما آدميان و انسان ها اغواگري و اضلال مي كند، شر است. اين مقاله با روش تحليلي-توصيفي به تجزيه و تحليل اين موضوع مي پردازد و درصدد است چگونگي نسبت خلقت شيطان و مساله شرور را با توجه به نظام احسن براساس حكمت صدرايي موردكاوش قرار دهد و زواياي بحث را بررسي نمايد.
