Until just a few months ago, the role of digitalisation in the relationship between Sacmi and its customers centred around the ben-efits of remote assistance, predictive maintenance and after-sales services. But the global health emergency has brought greater urgency to a number of challenges that were already being addressed, par-ticularly remote execution of all phases relating to plant installation, testing and start-up (FAT, or Factory Acceptance Testing, and SAT, Site Acceptance Testing), which until now have been carried out by engineers physically present on-site. AT and SAT are two key stages during which the supplier and customer work together with the shared goal of completing
the project and checking the expected production performance.
